altogether? how about social security programs for the elderly? many of them have no other source of income. I wonder how you'd react to your own quote if you were 65 years old.

Here's some simple, simple math to show why Entitlement programs suck.

Take Social Security, Snoop Gag since you're so hung up on it.

The government takes 6.2% of your check, for "social security benefits".

If you made 6 dollars an hour, for the rest of your life, and worked just a regular 40 hour week... and took the 6.2 percent the government takes from you...and invested it.  At retirement age, just from the money the government takes from you for social security, you would have half a million dollars in the bank.

That's at 6 dollars an hour.

Same scenario, if you took the 24 percent that the government takes from you, total, including social security and taxes, at retirement age, 6 dollars an hour, 40 hours a week, you would have 2.2 million dollars in the bank, and that's not figuring in inflation, and that's not figuring in you *EVER* making more than 6 dollars an hour, your entire life.

Think about that shit for a little while.  How good of a job is John Kerry going to do with your 2.2 million?

Trauma, you're not even counting inflation. Minimum wage was like 1 dollar when peolple who are retiring now just started working. Also, the money u pay in social security tax isn't SAVED up for you at all. It is used by the government for all kinds of expenditures. In fact, the social security tax you're paying right now is going to pay social security benefits for the elderly. So it's not like money is saved up for you when u retire. When you're old, you won't get ANY benefits because old people are living longer, and still retiring at 65. Most of your points are invalid in this case, sorry. Also, what does income tax have to do with anything?

We need to get rid of these programs and have more freedom with our tax money.  Taxes are too high.  The Government should be a protector not a provider.

You say my points are invalid, but mentally, you're an invalid.

I just told you why the government is fucking you out of half a million dollars, and your responses were "You didn't count in inflation".  O.K., SMART ASS, count in Inflation, and the amount is even fucking higher! LOL  Also, since I figured it at minimum wage (or close to it), the amount would AGAIN be even higher.

And you're right, the money is used for all kinds of expenditures.  THAT'S WHY IT'S A BULLSHIT PROGRAM.  The government is taking YOUR half million dollars, and giving it to fucking everybody.

Again, you don't even comprehend the PREMISE of my argument, much less have a applicable comment.  and it's a SIMPLE argument! Shit, how can you be so fucking stupid you can't see my simple math equation?

Who are you to tell me who I should give my money to and who I should support?

It's not yours, the governments, or anybody else’s... It's mine. The reason I have it is because I worked for it. I created something or preformed a task that in turn, gave me wealth. Why should I be forced to give that over? The "Need" of somebody else?

Exactly ;), why should we give money to people who refuse to work and would much rather take money from the tax payer?

this shit can go both ways. why should i give my money to support an unjust war in which people are being killed for oil so that a few greedy motherfuckers can fatten their pockets using my tax money?

yall live in a FUCKIN PARADISE when it comes to taxes .. you cant even imagine how hard it is in countries like Germany and many many other. Everyone here would bust a nut all day if he had the taxes you dare to complain about.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin
