I luv this album so much i had to my own review. peep.

1. Rhythm-al-ism (Intro) - Quiks flow floats over light guitars and effects until the point when he welcomes us to the world of the rythym-al-ism, and a wall of sound overwelms your ears; it's at this moment you know the rest of the album will be unlike any other west coast album ever.

2. We Still Party - A slow heavy hitting drum accompanied by a soft piano roll seems awkward at first coming out of the intro, but soon the music begins to take familiarity in your head and you find yourself nodding along to it, the hook is great for a party song but still has that refelctive veteran feel to it.

3. So Many Wayz - Classic Quik feel to it; processed guitar sounds and reverberated claps keep the track bouncing while Quik and his homies take turns puttin it down in so many wayz.

4. Hand In Hand - Most fans describe this as their least favorite track on the album for it's soft r&b vibe, however the message put down in the track remains true throughout society. Get your game up, then comes money, then comes the women. If only kids would recognize this lesson early on in life...

5. Down, Down, Down - Funky slap bass and bouncy drums set the scene for some class A pimp rhymes, everytime I hear this I wanna slap a ho in the face with my cock. The only drawback for me is the awkward sounding synth in the chorus. That aside though, all mc's are on point. especially Suga Free, I can't even sum his verse up in words, it's an energy you feel. One of my fav tracks.

6. You'z A Ganxta - G Funk sounding track dedicated to reversing the negative stigma that surrounded Quik throughout his career. An honest look at his years in the rap game and the gangsta image he incurred over time. Awesome chrous blending smooth vocals and light scratching.

7. I Useta Know Her - Old school sounding track that once again utilizes the zapp box vocals. Funky as hell, but sounds like it belongs on a previous album maybe. Good storytelling by Quik though, and adds variety to the cd.

8. No Doubt - The first track I had ever heard from this album, still one of my favs. Great beat that knocks when youre riding around town on a sunny day, once again Suga Free rips the track in half bringing the energy up a level.

9. Speed - One of my least favs on the album, are they talking about the drug speed? Still, the vocals flow good over the faster beat and the guitar intro puts you ina  different place than the rest of the album does.

10. Whateva U Do - By far the most elaborate production on the entire album, this track is a masterpiece that can be felt by music fans of all ages. The background band just jams for several minutes without vocals leaving you asking "is this a rap record?" Nope, just beautiful music.

11. Thinkin' 'Bout U - Downtempo, lovers track. Nice little horn samples give it that certain swagger you'd expect from the prince of the westcoast. Quiks vocals have an airy feel almost floating over the song. A great song period.

12. El's Interlude - SMOKE TRACK, feels like an old school joint you'd hear on the radio with a high tech revamping. If you're not a fan of singing, you might not appreciate it as much, but fuck you. go listen to some daygo gangsta shit. El Debarge comes soulful on here.

13. Medley for a 'V' (The P***y Medley) - Nice change of pace. Upbeat song about the pussy, how can you hate! Its got a great lineup talent wise, if you're a heterosexual from Cali, you are obligated to like this song.  I dont know wtf is with quiks verse, but whatever. I'm a get some pussy tonight!

14. Bombudd II - I just have to laugh when I hear this, usually cuz I'm high. Quik dedicating a track to the good weed, in a jamaican accent. haha... trippy effects in the song like any good reggae track.

15. Get 2Getha Again - I think this is my fav track on the album. Bangs hard but it's got that warm feeling to it and a soft chorus from El Debarge, makes me wanna see my firends and family. Aint got time to play hollywood squares witcha back it up!

16. Reprise (Medley For A 'V') - The much needed instrumental track for the album, reprise of the pussy medley, good background music that anyone can appreciate.

Whatever U Do might be the most sophisticated hip-hop song musically ever made...

Yep, I used to skip that song all th time, but then I listened to it at school with my headphones on and it's become one of my fav. tracks on the album since. Need to by the CD though, my copy is scrathed  like a motherfucker  some tracks skip and  Reprise (Medley For A 'V') doesn't even play anymore >:(

1. Rhythm-al-ism Right when you put the cd in the deck, you know you're in for a treat just based on the first song, a melodic rhythmic joy ride 4/5

2. We still party Yall got to hear this in a club. It sounds even better in that environment. 5/5

3. So many wayz I love this song. 5/5

4. Hand in hand Some smooth r&b type shit with james debarge on the hook. 4.5/5

5. Down, down, down Suga Free!!!! Catastrophe!!!!!! 5/5

6. You’z a gangsta No I'm not! He really explains a lot of the drama that's happened, including his beef with Eiht, the drama around Biggie, abandoning gangsta rap and the violence and negativity that surrounds it. You knew at this point in his career that Quik matured as an artist. 4.5/5

7. I useta know her Some funny lines by AMG.
4/5

8. No doubt Another great Suga Free verse! 4.5/5

9. Speed This is my favorite song on the album. The beat is fuckin sick, 135 bpm and AMG and DJ Quik just flow over it perfectly. 5/5

10.   Whateva U do A Real slow r&b groove. There are some nice instrument solos at the end although it does go for a while. 4/5

11.   Thinkin’ bout U Some more smooth shit by Quik. 4/5

12.   El’s interlude To me, this is the only lull in the album. It just seems out of place and the only reason that this isn't a 5 mic album for me. The El Debarge song on Balance and Options is much better. 2.5/5

13.   Medley for a “V” (The pussy medley) A fun, bouncy track featuring everybody and they mama. Snoop, Nate, AMG, II2None, Hi-C and El Debarge all get down. 4.5/5

14.   Bombudd II Sequel to the original Bombudd on Quik is the Name. 4/5

15.   Get 2getha again…Features 2nd II None, AMG, El DeBarge, and Hi-C.  Great way to close out the album. Nice.  4.5/5

16.   Reprise (Medley for a “V”)…outro

Overall: 4.5 mics, my second favorite Quik album, a definite masterpeice that will never get old.

Nowwwww this is a very good review from one of the best albums from Quik... i love quik so only a true fan from him can review his shit... i got all the fuckin productionz from him... a entire collection and Rhythm-al-ism is a tigh album... deserve 4.75/5... for sureeeeeeeeee
