1) Intro.
Nice little intro about Van Gogh cutting his ear off, with the "Soul on ice" beat playing in the background. No rating coz its too Short.

2)  Hot Game
This beat is dope and has a cool violin sample running through the rhythm. It sounds amazing. Ras DESTROYS the track, telling you about his experiences in the game of hip hop.
Rating - 5/5

"I been flossed,
By some of the hottest rappers and producers in the game
Told me, we couldn't do a song, because I ain't got no fame
Guess I'm not on Billboard, so I ain't go no plane"

3) Goldyn Child (ft. Kurupt)
The beat here is EXCELLENT, the lyrics on the track basically revolve around Ras telling why he's the best MC in the world today, and why he's the "Goldyn Child" of the west coast.
Rating - 5/5

"I was taught to rhyme undeniably,
And force niggas to think
So if you need to dance so fucking much
Then buy N'Sync"

4) Kiss U
starts off with "Home Sweet Home" playing for about 20 sec, then the track kicks in with "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you" Awesome. Theres a guest on the track but don't know who. This track is deadly
Rating - 5/5

"Maybe I'm the black sheep of rap
Snuck in V.I.P.
Making records to kill a nigga like I'm Chi Ali
Tongue Kiss, spit spread, epidemic plague
Swung miss, hit bled, you're better off dead
The sperm that created you shoulda been head
Or shoulda been that nasty running down your mother's leg"

5) Back it up (ft. Kokane)
This has a good beat and kokane does well on the hook, its a good track with nice lyrics by ras but i don't know. I don't feel this that much but its good though.
Rating - 4/5

6. Sex (ft Xzibit)
X only does the odd thing here and there but nice track though. The chorus made me laugh "Sex sex sex sex, thong thong thong thong". Its grown on me now but i didn't like it at first
Rating - 4/5

7) Is This Love
Starts off as an RnB track then fades away into dark, gloomy beat. Just amazingly. I love the beat and chorus and lyrics are nice
Rating - 5/5

"I'm bad for your health
Make you swallow your medallions
And next time you shi*t, you'll strangle yourself"

8. Root of Evil (ft Kokane)
This sounds like it came from a Snoop album. Ras tares up and kokane does the chorus but i don't really care about this track.
Rating - 3.5/5

9) Kick Rocks (ft Tray Dee)
Nice beat, with tray doing the hook. I lke this track and ras comes real nice on this.
Rating - 4.5/5

"Ain't nobody hotter
I put the (spitting sound) in spitting
The other nigga, 50 Cent musta forgot to mention
That'll murder ya, in eight bars
Actually it's seven"

10) 4 Much (Tash, Bad Azz, Nate)
Tash and Ras come amazing on this but nate and bad do ok nothing special. This would have been a perfect track with ras and tash only.
Rating - 4/5

"When Catash come through it's like time sits still
Asking for some bread, it's like "Bitch be real!"
I'm all about the dollar bills, I'm kinda stingy with the Benjy's
Wanna get, you better wait till Santa's slidin down the chimney"

11) What u Want (ft Mike City)
Love this beat and nice use of flutes. This track could have done amazing if it was released as a single. Not a bad chorus either.
Rating - 4.5/5

12) NBA (ft. Xzibit, Saafir)
Believe im gonna be first in line to buy the Golden State Album.
Brilliant all three rip this.
Rating - 5/5

13) Ah Ha
Good track but doesn't really do anything for me. Ras comes tight though.
Rating - 3.5/5

14) TV Guide
Shitting Hell this is deadly, The concept is taking TV show names, and using them in his rhymes. Which in this case center on how the media brainwashes people. Incredible.
Rating - 5/5

15) Van Gogh
This is a very tight and very lyrical track IMO i love this.
Rating - 5/5

"Fuck Priority Records, like Prince I'm writing "slave" on my cheek
Cuz my kids gotta eat
Meanwhile, A&R's are sniffing coke, getting kickbacks
Fuck that!
My writtens are like Christ with a cross on his back
I bring the total black experience to the track
What used to be hot was what an MC said
Now hip hop don't respect you till you're platinum or dead "

16) One Night
VERY TIGHT beat  and cool chorus by some women. Ras come ok on this nothing special.
Rating - 4/5

17) Understandable Smooth (added this to my cd)
This track is PERFECT, i love it ras's lyrics are good (not amazing by any means) but the beat is THE BEST.
Rating - 5/5

18. Jack Frost (added this to my cd)
Nice beat with a cool opening to the track, no chorus, ras just rips it.
Rating - 4.5/5

19) Home Sweet Home (added this to my cd)
Brilliant, clowns on Jadakisses version
Rating - 5/5

Overall a solid 4/5 album

I love this album and its a shame it was never released, Lyricaly it aint touching "soul On Ice" but its still very good. I do think it sounds a little to West Coast and i prefer him with a more mellow sound "Understandable Smooth" or dark sound "Interview with a vampire" or the whole of soul on ice.
But its a damn good album

Being a HUGE Ras Kass fan since his first single Remain AnonymouS came out, i gotta say i DO NOT like the direction Ras has taken.   Sure, he still outrhymes everyone, but damn, do i really need to hear him do this over some terrible westcoast beats?  Damn, his first album is top 5 in my opinion EVER, and his second is very nice, but i am VERY GLAD Ras did not release this album---- it would've tarnished his underground legacy.  The indepth lyrics aren't there, and alot of the songs lack substance.

I love westcoast gangsta shit, and i love tray dee and all those guys but i wish Ras would just do his own damn thing.  Right now he supoosedly is recording new tracks with Timbaland and Dre among others; lets hope he makes some DOPE commercial music as opposed to the terrible attempt at a commercial joint with Kokane (Back it Up).

Van GOGH has dope songs, but just as many crap songs.......it is about 3/5, and for Ras, that has gotta be unnacceptable.
