The D.O.C. – No One can do It Better

1. It’s funky enough…Perfect production.  From 1989 but still sounds great.  D.O.C.’s flow is untouchable.  Catchy hook.  5/5
2. Mind blowin’…Dope beat matched with a dope flow.  Nice hook.  4/5
3. Lend me an ear…The beat is too busy and fast for me here.  His flow is still on point though.  3/5
4. Comm. Blues…skit
5. Let the bass go…Slow, laidback quality production.  D.O.C. burns the track up with a tight ass flow.  4/5
6. Beautiful but deadly…Production is a mix of rock and rap.  Hardcore beat sounds great with D.O.C.’s great lyrics.  4/5
7. The D.O.C. & the doctor…Simple beat, but tight as hell.  It’s laidback which goes well with the lyrics.  Chorus is a great touch.  4/5
8. No one can do it better…A+ production.  Tight gangsta beat.  D.O.C. flow is perfect.  5/5
9. Whirlwind pyramid…The beat is too fast for my taste.  Flow is still dope.  3/5
10.   Comm. 2…skit
11.   The formula…Remarkable production matched with an amazing flow and delivery.  Chorus sounds great.  Dre adds his two cents by saying “It’s the formula”, which sounds dope as hell.  5/5
12.   Portrait of a masterpiece…Another uptempo beat.  Decent flow, but I don’t like the production.  3/5
13.   The grand finale’…A+ production.  N.W.A. appears on the track and everybody lays down a perfect verse.  5/5

OVERALL…9.5/10

Nearly flawless album.  With the exception of the few “uptempo” tracks, the whole album is a true masterpiece.  The CD came out in 1989, but it still sounds great by today’s standards.  Dr. Dre’s production was totally amazing throughout the album and D.O.C.’s lyrics and delivery is purely untouchable here.  Classic.

Yeah, this record is a true gem. It's really a shame Dre doesn't produce whole albums anymore.

The D.O.C is my fav artist off the west.
His flow is amazing. And Dr.Dre beats make them even better.
Should've been a full N.W.A member, would've had waaay more sucess.

One of the top albums ever. Nothing can compare to the combo of Dre's best production (IMO) & The D.O.C's pure smoothness on the mic.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program
