WARREN G - RETURN OF THE REGULATOR

WARREN G – RETURN OF THE REGULATOR

Yo this’ll be a quick review since the shit isn’t even out.
1-      Intro – a long ass one with warren speakin and some guy rappin
2-      Lookin At You – GODDAMN! Dre put some serious effort in it and I mean it. This beat bangs and boasts with some extras that you don’t even expect. Warren is really hardcore with his rhymes. Woman chorus just adds to the perfection. 4,99
3-      Here comes Another Hit – A stop-and-start beat with aggressive feel but still partying. Nate Dogg laces the hook, Mista Grimm outshines Warren tho he’s still phat too. Damn, Grimm got way more mature since DJ Pooh’s album. – 4,99
4-      Somethin To Bounce To – I cant believe it! #rd track in a row with NO FLAWS! I feel like its 1994, when shit was fresh and perfect. This song is funkier than previous, really sweet beat, Warren kills me again, and then you get a special appearance by SOOPAFLY!!!!!!!! He talks some shit about 2x platinum, and with this typa beat that’s possible! – 4,99
5-      This G Shit Is Too much – hell nah, its not too much, I love it and I still want more. Beat is lazier than before, Butch Cassidy sings well, but Id sing it in a different way. Warrens smooth silk vocals fit perfectly. – 4,5
6-      Pump Up – a long skit
7-      Young Locs Slow Down – This is a WC track, I mean that it has WC on it and the beat is just for him. Still Warren is a host here, the 2 MCs talk wise for young Gs.. 4,5
8-      Speed Dreamin – I don’t know what this song is doing here. Leaves the same feeling as I Cant Swim did on Last Meal. What the fuck for? Mista Grimm tries to save it, but the beat is still very questionable. – 3,0
9-      Yo Sassy Ways – WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! This song is right beside Never Leave Me Alone, Nobody does It Better and Gangsta Love. I swear Ima make a CDR with like 15 Sassy Ways on it, just to listen to it all day. Warren, Snoop and Nate – Id give half of my CD collection to get one fullength 213 album. I cried when I heard this song  the 1st time- 4,99
10-      Deez Nutz II – A funny skit. I laugh everytime I hear these words; Deez nuuuutz!
11-      It Aint Nothing Wrong Wit U – A song for bitches. Grimm, CPO and some other guy guest here. All 4 MCs are surprisingly hungry like they didn’t fuck for a month. – 4,5
12-      Ghetto Village – I don’t get what s all the buzz about this song. The melody dates back to some Pleasantville 50s. Warren talks VERY interesting about the past, but I tell ya I don’t really need no archaic beat for a song about good ol times. – 4,0
13-      They Lovin Me Now – Here Warren rips all the haters to shreds. I waited for a song like this. Them nonbelievers will be at least surprised to hear Warren be almost as angry as back in 1994 on And Ya Don’t Stop. CPO’s fffffffat voice apeeals to me too. – 4,5
14-      Streets Of LBC. - A dope song about hard times, struggle in life etc. Good and I mean good lyrics. The beat fits the song concept just perfectly. – 4,99
15-      G Funk Is Here To Stay – This song is aaight, but I cant get what the fuck is Kokane doing here. When G Funk was rising, he was dissin it. This song is in NO WAY G funk, its Dogghouse Funk, just like Dogghouse Ridaz or Brake Fluid. Mista Grimm and Warren do good together. - 4,0
16-      Keepin It Strong – A good tradition to end the album with a personal heartfelt song that begun on Last Meal continues here. Its very melodical (I still whistle it all thru) and Warren comes personal just like Snoop did on Yall Gon Miss Me, but instead of being like “Remember me, yall gon miss me” he stays relaxed and shiny, to ensure us he’s here to stay. – 4,5

I tell ya this motherfuckers. If the world turns upside down and Universal hooks Warren with proper promotion, this priceless CD will go multiplat in a month and will finally lead Grimm and Soopafly to the star status too. But it will never happen. So just support the best West Coast producer with your dollars and enjoy this masterpiece, cause it’s the G Childs best LP ever, and I aint bullshittin. – 9,5 / 10.

p.s. Where its 4,99, itll be 5,0 when the CD goes at least gold.
I just cant give classic status to a song that isnt out yet.

P.P.S. What the fuck does 'sassy' mean?

I've only heard tracks #2 and #3 and they fo' real... The Dre joint is just priceless. "Yo Sassy Ways", everyone says it's dope (including The Source) so it gotta be, but I haven't heard it... I'm yet to hear the rest of the album but I have a feelin' it's gonna be good. However, I ain't copin' it right now: I got a million records to cop 1st (Stillmatic, Infamy, Iron Flag, Genesis, Angie Stone, Music And Me, etc...). Then, I'll go back to Warren...
