"Hitt's Big Score" Bootlegg Review
« on: April 15, 2002, 11:14:39 AM »
01.  Front Page:
Nice Battlecat beat, the drums don't sound like Cat though, they sound a lot like Dre/Mel-Man...maybe another Battlecat/Mel-man collabo.  Hitt comes tight, Battlecat samples "Light Speed" for the hook.  Not a strong hook though.  4/5

02.  Let Shit Go:
Nice bass driven B.C. beat.  Hitt and Knoc both come correct.  I like how Hitt comes in kinda mellow.  Another tight hook by Knoc.  4.25/5

03.  Blaaw:
This song is from '98.  I think it is Hitt's first, or one of the first songs he did with Dre.  I know the titled was still supposed to be "Chronic 2000," that was before Suge fucked shit up in early '99.  Anyway, an early recording from the "2001" sessions.  Nice Dre/Mel beat...Dre comes in strong, so does Hitt.  Knoc tops it off with a powerfull hook.  I think this song would be a perfect # 2 song for "2001."

04.  Watch Out:
Another good song with a catchy hook.  Mel-Man's beat sounds like "Your Wife."  I like this song.  4/5

05.  Direct it:
Lovin this song.  A melodic beat whith Hitt just flowing non stop over it.  A fresh song with a different side of Hitt.  Tight, tight hook.  Bandit did this beat.

06.  Last Dayz:
We know this song.  Hitt comin very strong lyrically over a disgusting Dr. Dre piano lick.  4.75/5

07.  Gett Mynz:
A song about smoking weed and getting high.  Simple but tight bell-ringing Dre beat.  Hitt's hook is dope.  4.25/5

08.  Shady:
Nice track.  Hitt keeps on flowing.  Ben Baller hooks up a different beat.  Another good hook.  3.75/5

09.  Ass:
Hittman rapping about his favorite female body part.  Dre and Mel come nice with a spaced out laid back beat for Hitt to just rap over.  4/5

10.  Hiznit:
Hitt in his funkiest form.  Good hook, funked out beat.  Hittman just flowing about how tight he is.  The hand produced this one.  4/5

11.  Hott Dam:
A Hank Shocklee track with Truth Hurts on the vocals.  Nice song that could sell if it makes the album.  The hook is a little weird though.  Still a good song.  3.75/5

12.  When it Comes:
A Battlecat production, another tight beat.  Hitt is unstoppable.  Good hook.  3.75/5

13.  Foot Trooper:
NOT a Dr. Dre beat.  This is unknown to who laced this sick beat.  An old Hitt song, that is like 6 years old.  But he flows all the way through this one.  Strong song.  4.5/5

Dam, I'm happy.  I got Hitt's album!  This is good enough for me if this were his album.  Well, maybe not, more Dre beats and guest appearences would fill this out.  Then I'd be set.  But since we may not hear Hitt's Aftermath LP, then I'm good with this.  4.25/5
