 [Intro]
[Jada]
This is my livelyhood

[Em]
That you fuckin with

[Jada]
AhhhhH!!!!
This is it right here baby
Hahaha
No more hatin in the world

[Em]
Haha

[Jada]
You know
It's gonna be what its gonna be

[Em]
RUFF RYDERS

[Chorus- Eminem]
Welcome to D Block, the city of broke down dreams
Where things aint always peachy keen as they seem
City of dope dealers, killers, pimps, pushers,
Pin handlers, Hustlers and doped out fiends
The sun dont shine here, in this part of town
But we all got a town that's similar to this too
Cuz every city's got a ghetto and every ghetto's got a hood
Take a good look around you cuz there's a D Block near you

[Jadakiss]
A place where aint nobody that proud, its a fuckin black cloud
That got people under the impression they can act wild
Workin around though, see if you can pull a trigger on the pound yo
Wild men is flappin the whole town though
Lot of assumin a niggas salary
More lies than truth definatly more rumors than reality
Only way you beatin a body is a technicality
Other than that catch em and clinton on a gallery
The determination and dedication of disipline
Listenin and catchin the jewels you was missin
And they still doin coward shit
You know the haters gonna always be heavy but the love overpowers it
Somethin in the air but the older they get,
They kill you quicker over a girl than over a brick
We dont play with the lizards, we make phrases up and say I'm exquisite
Anytime you can pay us a visit

[Chorus- Eminem]
Welcome to D Block, the city of broke down dreams
Where things aint always peachy keen as they seem
City of dope dealers, killers, pimps, pushers,
Pin handlers, Hustlers and doped out fiends
The sun dont shine here, in this part of town
But we all got a town that's similar to this too
Cuz every city's got a ghetto and every ghetto's got a hood
Take a good look around you cuz there's a D Block near you

[Eminem]
Welcome to D Block, the mighty mighty D Block
A place in New York City where Diddy wont even walk
Its D Block, the part of Yonkers where I wouldnt be caught
Without two pistols on me that'll be cocked in each pocket
D Block dont even stop to talk, you just keep walkin,
Stick up kids every block who walks with that free op-
-Portunity, as soon as you leave out that jewelry shop
And you wont even notice your mind will be so preo-
-Ccupied on that new watch you just copped
You wont even see that ride pull up along side you
You'll be shot fore you even realize you were spied over three blocks
D Block the place where gees get knocked, locked up
Get out come home for a week and get re-knocked
You dont even see cops, hiphop police dont even stop,
On D Block, where everybody wants to be Pac
And you can get popped over the new G Unit Reeboks

[Chorus- Eminem]
Welcome to D Block, the city of broke down dreams
Where things aint always peachy keen as they seem
City of dope dealers, killers, pimps, pushers,
Pin handlers, Hustlers and doped out fiends
The sun dont shine here, in this part of town
But we all got a town that's similar to this too
Cuz every city's got a ghetto and every ghetto's got a hood
Take a good look around you cuz there's a D Block near you

[Sheek Louch]
If you bussin' your gun, they got niggaz on the run
And you rep where you from nigga you D Blocked! (D Blocked!)
And you try to come up, and your pockets is light as a cup
They dont give a fuck, you D Blocked!
Aiyo bang bang nigga, let's get it on
Always been a monster, but its worse now that my son's been born
And every nigga where I be, 'll put work in free
It's D Block mothafucka, here grab this P

[Styles P]
Welcome to D Block, a place where lil niggaz is killaz,
And the mother's raisin a son That turns into Gorillaz
And the hallways is pissy as hell, all we do is get bigger
More ignorant, you send us to jail, my nigga shoot anything that'll move
Sell drugs from the rise to the sun to the fall of the moon,
I'd die the way I stand With my man if I can when the shells come,
This is D Block ya'll welcome

[Chorus- Eminem]
Welcome to D Block, the city of broke down dreams
Where things aint always peachy keen as they seem
City of dope dealers, killers, pimps, pushers,
Pin handlers, Hustlers and doped out fiends
The sun dont shine here, in this part of town
But we all got a town that's similar to this too
Cuz every city's got a ghetto and every ghetto's got a hood
Take a good look around you cuz there's a D Block near you

I dunno bout this track....

1. Why is the snares off beat? Eminem's production needs Dre's guidance.
2. The chorus is weird.
3. Why is Eminem reppin D-Block? Why is he dissin diddy in the track? What does he even kno about D-Block? LOL, I don't understand why LOX let him hop on a track like that.

Jadakiss verse was constructed and delievered real well tho.

yea and why isnt Jae Hood on the album or on this song? maybe they replaced him with eminem  :P

its obvious he just givin d block props but tis funny his reppin em.......but apart from groupies, the rest of teh game aint really feelin any of eminems shit at the moment, noone can deny his fell the fuck off lately......i thought he'd step up on d12 world but he didnt, its obvious he lived off his name on that album........i guarentee all y'all, if that was a debut album, nobody would be sayin eminem is the best mc in that group.......he needs top step up, groupies gon be like "yeah but his flow....."zzzzzz........homie aint nuttin real about his flow lately......his come weak nuff times lately......lyrically and flow wise....he already sound like a bitch anyways so when he comes weak, it sounds even worse..............eminem needs to get back in a studio with dre, not even if its over his beats, jus for direction n shit so he sounds mo hiphop.....

but all that been said, i was kinda impressed by his verse on this, the beat sounds kinda weird, like someone else said, whats with the snare?......but jada comes nice and eminem came pretty dope to......

but he gon need to step up on his album big time.....and i aint no eminem hater, im jus saying.......his been comin weak as fuck for time now.........not many mans be feelin his shit lately.........

peace

His flow isn't weak, it's amazing. He did fall waaay off though. He just spits wierd/funny shit nowadays. Right now I'd say Swifty is the best out of D12 lyrically.

This is practically the same beat as one of those tracks his dissed Benzino on, and its horrible. I just can't feel this song at all.

For all the guys wondering about Em' repping D-Block: Listen to the hook.

The sun don't shine here in this part of town
But we all got a town that's similar to this too
'Cause every city's got a ghetto and every ghetto's got a hood
Take a good look around you, 'cause there's a D-Block near you.

There's a D-Block everywhere, even in Detroit ;)
Anyway, Em' raps about the NYC D-Block in his verse... ???

People complain about this beat, but its better than alot of beats on jada's new album, that much is certain.  Its not one of Em's best beats, thats for sure, and ya, he's getting a little repetitive.  Still, i give props to Em for trying to become a producer, and he has done what no other rap producer has done: produce an Oscar winning song.

swiftys flow on d12 world was better than eminem, theres nuttin good about eminems flow currently, jus talkin nonstop bullshit doesnt make his flow sick, its aiight, but nuttin dope at all, compare his flow n lyrics back on fight myusic, renegade and patiently waitin, the source, nail in the coffin......compared to now, all he does is chat shit and he dont even say that clearly.....

he was better back in the day, mmlp......his flow was sick in my opinion.......he really needs to step into a lab wit dre fo real.....
