Uhh, yeah it's faster!
Hyper threading is only good if the software & main board are built for it..
The experts/gurus say AMD have the fastest/best technology out right now + Intel is pricier..

funny thing is everyones buying the HT chips and the 64 bit chips, but.

HT is kinda pointless because it just makes windows think its a dual processor chip. It speeds up windows but barely.

64 bit processing in theory makes it faster, but every program you use would have to be optimized for it. Very few programs are optimized for it, and windows isnt even.

so basically there botha  waste of money.

but ht chips allow you to open up a lot more applicaitons at once making it worth the money
i've seen a few stups up with it its worth the extra 60 bucks or so i guess if  u do a lot of editing and shit
