My favorite Marvin Gaye song is "Can I Get A Witness".  It's one of his earlier ones, and has more of that 'motown' sound like the Temptations or the Miracles.  I like pretty much all his stuff, but "Can I Get A Witness" really shows off his voice, and has a great gospel sound to it, like a holy revival vibe.  Love it.

"The Ecology (Mercy, Mercy Me)" is another great, great Marvin Gaye song.  All his stuff with Tami Terrell is flawless.

Gotta go with You're All I Need.  It probably wouldn't be my favorite if it weren't for that Meth and Mary J. duo.

Mercy Mercy Me
Lets Get It On (on the Live at Montreux cd this track gets taken to a whole other level)
Heard It Through The Grapevine
etc
etc

U can't really go wrong with Marvin, I have never been disappointed with any album of his that I have bought but if you wanna go for the sureshots album wise then I would buy:

I Want You
Whats Going On
Lets Get It On
Midnight Love
Live at Montreux
Live at Wembley

And then download some of his earlier Motown sounding stuff to see if you like it, cause it doesn't seem to be for some peoples tastes (I could never understand why). The duet albums with Tammi Terrell and also the one with Diana Ross are also really dope.
