Right.. I've been working on getting my mind right back on track with the upgrade of wcc to the new forum software.

this all got screwed up before because i had to move the forum to a new host before i wanted to, i had been hoping to do the upgrade/move in one step.

If you have any suggestions, ideas, queries etc outside what I list below please speak up now as I'm starting to set down the final final plan.

- no posts, user accts etc will be lost.

- new layout. won't be dramatically different, but will be tarted up a lot.

- the actual board itself will be faster, and less prone to slowdowns

- new sections and moving around of stuff..

we can have sub forums there'll be some to cover things like 'key style'.

plus some new sections  (suggestions? )  

like the "gear" one, and one for sharing audio links
also some sections will not be viewable by guests (esp audio links one)

- more smileys

- 'quick reply' facility

its a completely different set of scripts than this forum uses right now. more like moving to a new forum than an upgrade.

its gonna be a whole whole lot faster.

HOWEVER.. the speed problems in the last few weeks have been due to hackers attacking the hosts servers. we're already running a lot faster, and without the frequent problems like we had on the old host.

If we are gonna get an audio section, you should take it one step further and only allow people to enter if they've posted over 100 posts for example, or else there's gonna be a SHITLOAD of registered members that don't even contribute to the board. Just a suggestion
