I need advice: should i go 2 college or not?

ok , I'm 16 about to finish 10th grade and i'm already thinking about what i'm gonna do when i finish high school.
Now I have a some things in my mind that i'm considering :
a-go to college for 4 years  
or
b-go to war school for 3 years then join the army or the "intelligence"
or
c-go to college , get a degree , then go to war school for one year

now the thing is if i go to college , I'm gonna have to either go to France , Australia ir wherever to get higher studys so i can get a half decent job in Lebanon (I don't want to leave my country) so I'll start working at 27 that's IF I find a job.

now if i go to war school immediately after school  , graduate and start working , then I end up butting heads with a higher up , I won't have a choice and i'll have to bare through it till he leaves or i get promoted .

waht do you guys think?

Like Crazy Girl said, go to college, get a degree to fall back on, then do whatever you wanna do. If your plans get fucked, then you have a degree. It's like an insurance policy.

go to college.. even for jobs unrelated to the qualifications you get you're more likely to get it over someone with nothing... think about it!


here's how I see it from my personal experience..

i got homies who did, and some who didn't. I was one that did.

the homies that didn't go to college 10 years ago had their first taste of money from working.. they got low wage, entry level jobs (no quals remember) but to someone young not used to money it was great at the time.  some even went to college and fucked it off for the money..

i worked a crappy weekend job in a store, had just about enough to by some clothes here and there, and blew the rest on weed and beer.

now 10 years down the line...

these guys who didnt go to college have little or no qualifications, they cant move up the ladder, they cant increase their wage. they are still doin the same thing. still earning roughly what they did 10 years ago (the figure may have gone up, but so has inflation...). but me after college i've been working over half of those 10 years. now i know this sounds kinda bad.. but as it stands, right now 10 years down the line, i'm earning over double what i know some of my friends earn right now.

now who made the right choice?

i got a great idea. Go to college.

There are alot of people at the time of graduation who think they'll never need college because they are going to be doing something peticular. Well what if it doesnt work out? You always need something to fall back on. You dont wanna be 40 years old and have to go back to college. But when you leave college then join the military "intelligence".

btw, if you get a degree in college then join the military you automatically start out as a leutennent (sp?)

I'm going to college next year...they already told me I'll go through some hard times (I'll be studying English, French & History), well so be it, I want that degree, period.

yea make sure u chose the right subject too, although mine is ok its not great and it doesn't really properly prepare me for what i wanna do cos its too technically orientated, but i had never really had any exposure to that and didn't know it wasn't for me. i wish i'd have taken the same route my mum did and studied history but i fucked myself cos i didn't even take it gcse so i doubt i could have anyway. bottom line chose something you'll enjoy, you gonna be working for near 50 years aftwards chances are what you choose will have a large influence in what area you go into.

GO TO COLLEGE...i'll give you proof on why to....three of my close friends didnt go to college....they have had the same shitty jobs since out of high school (7years) make salaries ranging from 8-13 dollars an hour and are going nowhere(what do you think will happen when they go for a promotion...they'll get bumped by someone with a degree everytime!)...i went to college in my first full year of working i made 65k and in the next few years its just going up....trust me go to college if you want anything in life....oh btw if you want a decent girl...women want someone with a future...they may not care when you're in high school, but wait till you're in your early 20's
