2-Pac Until the End of Time
« on: April 17, 2001, 07:52:12 PM »
Weeks before the release of Until the End of Time I desprately awaited it. When I began listening to it I was disapointed. The r@b style beats do not work over tupac's gangbanging lyrics. MOB is probably the best track. Tupac shines, however the production does not fit him and the outlawz. It sounds as if they tried to modernize it however tupac's lyrics can't be modernized. He is rapping about the thuglife but the production sounds like something that I hear other rappers use today. After giving Until the end of time a listen it is clear that even though the production may not fit, Tupac's leftover albums are still better then what most of hip hop has to offer these days.

Rating:
3.5 outta 5

wack, first rule of reworking dead artists material is you dont take out the whole message of the songs by putting fucked up singing hooks and crappy beats in. the guy that mixed it (claudio cuenin or sumthin) is bullshit

those makaveli bootlegs were incredible, this shit takes away from Pac's legacy.

by the way, i dont like this album LOL

I enjoyed the album. But it didn't pass my test. To me if a album is good it will stay in my rotation for 3 months. I only listened to it for a month.

Like someone else said, Afeni fucked up the message. Trying to make him look like a angel or a martyr.

Overall decent record.

Yo I'm new but I bought this album and was disappointed. It was pretty shit. I mean Tupac with his lyrics were good and ok Outlawz were nuttin special but they were trying. The beats spoiled the way the songs were comming accross and I feel kinda ripped of after  buying it. I mean I still listen to songs on it but only about 8 from 36/37 and I paid for the whole album not just 8 songs. I think the people putting out Tupac's albums are trying to ruin him a bit while at the same time make loadsa money from his death. Here's what I liked:

Disc 1.

13. Until The End Of Time f/ RL
14. MOB f/ Thug Life, Outlawz
15. World Wide Mob Figgaz f/ Outlawz

Disc 2.

7. Why U Turn On Me
8. Last Ones Left f/ Outlawz
9. Thug N U Thug N Me f/ Kci & JoJo
10. Words To My 1st Born f/ Above The Law
11. Let Em Have It Remix f/ Left Eye
14. Until The End Of Time RP Remix

Well it turned out I liked 9 songs on it but it was still pretty much a waste of money. If they got a good producer and beat maker then Tupac's albums will shine but I give this album a measley 2/5 and this is coming from a disappoited Tupac fan.

When I first heard this CD i thought it was whacked up but the more i listen to it the more I like it. I'd advise to give the album a chance and listen to it a couple times before you review it.

actually i think this is 2 pacs worst album....i hardly listened to it for a week....i dont even have it my cd case in my car anymore....the production is just horrid...i only like maybe 3 or 4 cuts on it...i guarantee that the original production would've been better...we'll never know though....the only reason it sold well cause it said 2 pac....actually most of it is some of the worst production ive ever heard

I thought this was a good album, 4/5, but not Pacs best album by any means. Some of the beats were fucked up, but Pacs message is the most important thing. "When Thugs Cry" is probably one of the top 5 2Pac songs ever.
