MUPPETS BREAK XMAS DATE WITH SNOOP DOGG
Wed Oct 2, 4:07 AM ET

By ADAM BUCKMAN

Hollywood-based Jim Henson Co. says the X-rated recording artist was excised due to time constraints.

But the decision made last Friday to snip Snoop may have been aimed at preventing a public relations disaster as word spread that the caretakers of the beloved Muppets were pairing Kermit the Frog with a rapper/pornographer who is also an avowed Crips gang member, ex-con and outspoken advocate for legalizing marijuana.

Henson Co. got a hint of the potential firestorm last Thursday, when letters published on the Op-Ed page of the Wall Street Journal made it clear that CEO Charles Rivkin might have blundered when he issued an endorsement of Snoop Dogg in a front-page Journal feature 10 days earlier.

In the story, which detailed Snoop Dogg's newfound entrepreneurship in the apparel and porn industries, Rivkin explained why Snoop Dogg was making a cameo appearance in "A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie," due to air later this year on NBC.

"The Muppets are a pop-culture icon, and Snoop is a pop-culture icon as well," Rivkin said. "The bottom line is we respect him as an artist."

In the scene that was cut, Snoop Dogg was seen rapping with Kermit, a prospect that alarmed some Journal readers.

"When did our children who watch and believe in the Muppets become fair game for pornographers?" asked one of the letters.

"Actually, Mr. Rivkin," said another, "I believe that in the December pairing of [Snoop Dogg] and Kermit the Frog, the ‘bottom line' is what matters most."

It's possible that Rivkin was unaware of the depth of Snoop Dogg's involvement in porn, including highly profitable partnerships with Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Joe Francis, the entrepreneur behind the "Girls Gone Wild" video series.

"As commonly occurs during this stage of production, we have had to cut several scenes originally planned for the movie which did not advance the storyline," a company statement said.

TIME CONTRAINTS!!!  WTF?  XMAS IS NOT UNTIL DECEMBER... IT AINT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET... TELL ME YOU CAN'T GET SOME GOOFBALL VIDEO EDITING GENIUS TO WORK ON THAT...I GUARANTEE THEY COULD GET IT DONE...

The world has to blame someone for everything

Instead of blaming themselves for allowing these things to happen, they blame something that has success.

Whether it's Snoop Dogg getting blamed for every weed addict, NWA getting blamed for Gang Violence, Ice-T & Body Count getting blamed for cops dying, Eminem getting blamed for every high school shooting, Marilyn Manson getting blamed for every satanic cults, Ozzy Osbourne getting blamed for gothic cults, Axl Rose getting blamed for every curse word said, Elvis getting blamed for increase in out of marriage sex, WWE (WWF) getting blamed for every child death.

Theres always scape goats for people to blame. The thing is most of these people do not do proper research, read things in papers & thing its all true. They often like to exaggerate, like how "Snoop Dogg is a pornstar", which is not really true. Yes, he was in a porno film, did he perform in any sexual acts, to my knowledge, no. He was used to promote the film basically with his music & him standing around during some scenes.

I even heard this O'Reilly guy say "murder charges recently dismissed". Well O'Reilly, if 6 & a half years ago is recent, no wonder you're "behind the times". Also O'Reilly if they were dropped, wouldnt that indicate he was not guilty. & if he read into the story, a person was aimming a gun at Snoop while he was driving, his body guard shot him & Snoop drove away. It was self defense if anything, but Snoop neither ordered, or pulled the trigger.

I swear O'Reilly, PTC & all these parents who instead of blaming themselves for watching Days Of Our Lifes instead of paying attention to what there children were doing, I would love to get them all in a square & just shoot them. Less bitches to worry about & the world would be a better place.
