Will Man vs. Machine go platinum?
« on: September 24, 2002, 05:01:31 AM »
Yo.... every muthafucka at this board that downloaded this album better buy this shit.  We need to really get behind Xzibit.  He's carrying the whole West Coast on his shoulders.  Snoop still goes platinum. Dre will always go multiplatinum.  Other then that, Xzibit is one of the few West Coast heavywieghts we still have.  If you want to continue to hear dope West Coast hip-hop, then you better go out and support Xzibit.  Otherwise, we are going to have to live with the Ja Rule's and Nelly's dominating the industry.

Also...... let's make our predictions.......

I think the album won't go platinum.  It will sell 800,000.  Xzibit is my second favorite rapper.  So it is not easy for me to say this.  I see it selling similarly to the last Eastisidaz record.  Selling 100,000 in the first week and then fading away.  I hope not though.  Peace.

Has he been gettin good promotion on radio and video?

Because his lead single off Restless was alot better then the lead single of Man vs. Machine.  That's what worries me.  I know the album will meet expectations.  But 3 things worry me.

Bootlegging, lukewarm support for "Multiplicity", and America's economic recession.

Shit......theres no doubt this album will go platinum.......I mean shit......X got Dre behind the boards......if this shit dont go platnium then Dre will prolly commit suicide.......nah but on tha real......I say this album will push major units in the first week then like u said it might fall off but once this shit grows on catz, and he drops his 2nd single then it will gain more sales.......imo it all depends on tha 2nd single.......its still gonna go plat. but tha 2nd single is tha factor in it goin' 2X plat. or more..........but I see this album pushin' units tho, fa sho!!

I'd be shocked if this album goes more than gold...I live in NYC where Multiply has gotten no airplay and most people don't even know Xzibit has an album coming out...The remix with Busta Rhymes has gotten some airplay on the new Kay Slay so maybe if that's included on the album hopefully it will sell a little bit here...I think he'll sell about 125,000-150,000 the first week and then fall off...

Yo he will go platinum homie...
But yeah I feel u bout the bootleger's, it's one thing to wanna sample the shitt until it officaly drop's, but not coppin' due to being a cheap bitch....is what is fuckin' up the entire music industry ImO.

When it officaly drop's it will come bundled wit' a bonus cd, wit' 3 previously unheard track's....just repeating what I heard on the commercial.
Anyone know what tracks these might be?

Yo dogg I was thinkin' the same thing....at the end of the day I wonder who out sells who?

I love Dub's shit alway's have & alway's will he has never come wack....But I can't see him going platinum, don't know why I just think homie is way to WESTCOAT for the hater's on the East. But then again, being on Def Jam might get some extra sales out....so let's hope they both reach that mountain.

I think it will, I mean anything Dre touches garners success. But is that a good thing???

Wont X want to get love for himself, I mean Id love the success but if its mostly down to Dre's name being associated on my shit Id rather not.

Sounds like I hate Dre, thats far from the truth!

Well. i downloaded it, BUT NO WAY IN HELL WILL I BUY IT!!!

Say what u want, but i only buy shit i fuckin like, and that is that.  Especially, i won't buy it cuz i know Xzibit has way more potential than this (he is one of my favourite rappers ever).............When he clears his head and makes shit true to himself, i will buy two copies.  Until then, i will just bump the two or three songs i actually like..........
