remeber what dre said about XZ's last album?
« on: October 01, 2002, 01:46:55 PM »
I remember after restless droped dre said,he didnt know he was so anticpated and hyped up. He said, this one was just a teaser and that xzibits next cd would be the classic. Like the first eminem cd dre did and then the marshal mathers LP...well this time dre was wrong, i know there is hundreds of topics about MVM but i just wanted to post this. Its a decent cd, not as bad as people say, it just didnt live up to the hype. Aaaah..hopefully WC's does =/

You guys are funny!!You know what the problem is dont you??Well.Dre has raised the bar so damn high that when you hear a beat from him thats average you assume he's slippin. But let me tell you, when Detox and oh my god roll around you all will be bobbin your heads again. This new sound will be tight as fuck.

Dre has said alot of things...Most of them never came true...Remember the NWA reunion,Hittman,Helter Skelter etc...Don't expect Rakim or Detox anytime soon...

I do, and who gives a fuck if theres no hype around the WC in the mainstream. Yea detox and OMG will probably be classics, but they drop in 5 months and detox in 15 months, Dre takes way to long to put out his stuff.

I think thats the problem, if he'd put out shit every 2 years people wouldnt expect so much, and im sure the quality wouldnt be much different

Yea.. Im at a point with Dre.. where It's more like.. "I'll believe it when I see it.."  Not to say that Dre doesn't make classic records.. it's just that he's bailed on too many dope, WC projects to take his hype serious.  When he said that Truth Hurts would change the game.. I was like ..  ::)  what'eva..

As a result his tru fans where left wondering why put all of that energy into Truth Hurts over Hittman, Knoc, King T, Heltah..  ???

So when Dre says that something is HOOOT and that its gonna change the game.. I look at how long it took him to put it out and compare it to hype.  More often then not, Dre has disappointed fans by over hypin shit, takin to long to release it or simply bailing and not releasing shit at all.  Dre is dope.. but I think that we're all tired of being left hangin..

Xz's album is coo.. but just like Restless, we expected more.

Dre was right about one thing...... In Eminem's Rolling Stone Cover Article from April, 99 he said....... "If he (Eminem) stays the same way, he will be bigger then Micheal Jackson."

Move over Mike!!!!!!

I duno what ya'll are bitching about, ok the record wasn't as good as you wanted it to be but I think ya'll are asking for so much.  I listened to the whole album today and I thought it was great, beats where good and lyrics and flow was fantastic.  I duno what ya'll expect.  I am sick of people moaning about albums on this board, I have listened to so much shite from people saying it aint good and then when I have peeped it, it has turned out to be amazing.

Yup, that's tha main problem here. I thought Xzibit's new album was dope, not as good as "Restless" but still tight.

Peace
