king arthurs britain
« on: September 07, 2004, 07:42:02 AM »
Did anyone watch king arthurs britain on channel 4 last night? it was quite interesting going into the new theories about britain in the time of the romans it is suggesting that romans never invaded but they were invited by one of the kings tribe in in the south and arrived in chichester, although they were also welcomed by the neighbouring king of glocoustershire and probably others who sort increase their wealth, although not all of the tribes wanted to be romanised in particular some tribes from the north who were intimidating the south didn't want the romans to come. however britain wasn't totally romanised and the romans were much more respectful of our peagan beliefs than previously thaught which is evident in the mosaacs and even in the roman baths which was a very holy ground for us back then. and we even carried out peagan rituals up until 1400s long after the romans left although we did also adopt christianity from them. anyway its an interesting series and if u get a chance to watch i recomend it.

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?
