down here you have to go to a federal place where your car has to be approved so you can take it on the road..

every state is different.  In new york you can take to any gas station that does inspections.  an they dont deceide how safe you car is on how it looks.  My car is safe, except for the side mirror not being there.  This is the 2nd time some in the thread said the same thing as you.  Why do you euro cats think a car that looks like shit wouldnt be allowed on the roads.

but its emissions at idle are too much.. but only due to the idle being high..

and guess what.. damn modern car.. no idle screw like back in the day..

Man, a paint job ain't 2 grand.   That's if you want to do it right... you don't have 2 grand, so you can't do it right.  MACCO.  200 bucks. Shit, you can get them for 99 bucks sometimes, LOL.  Won't be very good, but hell @ least it'll all be 1 color.

why would you spend 2 grand on a paint job on that car? if i were to paint that piece of shit it would be a half assed job bc for 2 grand i can actually by a decent used car. My friend bought a 96 nissan sx? for 2.6 and it only had 40k miles on it.

that's a pretty bad car , but I've seen much worse on the road , cars with no doors , cars with broken windows and GARBAGE bags set up in the windows place and attached with ducktape.. so yeah.

but hell why not fix it up yourself , make a project out of it , and if u mess up and don't do it right , at least you won't make it worse cause let's face it , there's no fucking way u can mess up THAT bad.

+ the advantage of having a bad car is that u don't drive it like ur driving a piece of glass and throw a fit if it gets scratched
