What is factual is how he legalized slavery, war, and polygamy. Of course only for men to have more wives. God forbid he allow women to have multiple husbands. He waged wars on those who did not accept him (christians, jews, other arabs). The corpses are the proof. Didn't he say in his last sermon that "No...apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born", yet Islam itself split into the Sunni, Shiite, Druze and Alawite just after he died. I'd like to think that one who speaks to God would know of things to come.

-Yes, the Qu'ran did recognize the existence of the thousand year old practice of slavery, yet it did nothing to further or "legalize" it.  Infact, it set up the criteria in which slavery could be abolished and many of Muhammad (pbuh) closest companion's were freed slaves (Bilal, for example, the Ethiopian, who gave the call to prayer).  Here is proof, straight from Allah as revealed to Muhammad in the Qu'ran...

Qu'ran 24:33 (translation)

"If any of your slaves
asks for a deed in writing
(to enable them to earn their freedom)
Give them such a deed"

Also, let me add that in the Qu'ran it is made clear that Muhammad is the seal of the prophethood.  The various schools of thought, Sunni, Shiite, etc... all recognize the prophet Muhammad as the last and final messenger.  These are not, "new faiths".  All these groups call themselves Muslims, they all worship Allah, they all believe in the Holy Qu'ran, and they all recognize Muhammad as a prophet of Allah. 

Infact, if you really want to get into it, there has only been one religion since the beggining of time.  Islam means submission to the will of God (Allah).  The whole world is in submission to the will of God.  You did not choose where you were born, and only God knows when you will die.  To be a Muslim you must recognize this reality--that you are in submission to the will of God.

As for your claims that the other sects aren't new faiths. Well the fact remains that they are seperate and I'd think Muhammed would know that and warn them. Wouldn't you? Unless you think that splitting the faith gives it some sort of purpose.
