It's clear that Don Rizzle doesn't understand basic economic thought nor does he see the "big picture" when dealing with America.

First off, We have around 7% of the worlds population.

Second, we produce around a third of the worlds economic output. If he would look at other nations, he'd find that both Australia and Canada put out more greenhouse gases per capita than we do and don't even come close to the same amount of economic output  of America. Also from 1990 to 1999 greenhouse gas emissions per capita have gone down 14%

i agree you have made improvements but not nearly enough all countries need to make more improvements but currently blair hasn't been able to pursuade bush to do more hopeful his presidency of g8 will encourage the most powerful nations to do more. in particular i'd like to see america sign up to the Kyoto accord even bush senior was pursuaded to sign up to ithe forerunner of the kyto agreement
