Other news about "Paid the cost to be the boss"

"Ted Chung, a 25-year-old graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, handles the label business.

"There are all these little cultural nuances that Snoop knows are going to be hot," says his adviser Mr. Chung.

Mr. Chung has tried to help steer Mr. Broadus away from a "West Coast" sound to music he hopes will resonate more widely. Songs on the rapper's final solo album on his old label, to be released in November, will have R&B and, on one song, Middle Eastern-sounding influences.

"The globalization of the business is also reflected in the globalization of art. Just sticking to West Coast gangsta rap, you're not going to win," says Mr. Chung, who moves easily from street lingo to more formal business discourse, depending on his audience. " (wall street journal)

Yeah right.  When have yall saw 1 pre release 'interview' or whatever accurately represent what's happening on the album?  By middle eastern influence he might mean snoop says "Muslim" in the middle of a song.  We'll all have to wait and hear it to make up our minds.

I'm not worried.  I'm sure it will still have westcoast bangers.  It just won't be his whole album.  He'll have songs for the west, songs for the east, maybe a dirty south song or two, and some R&B shit.  Look at Doggystyle All-Stars.  That wasn't a solely westcoast disc.  It had variety.  That's Snoops thing now, variety.

Shut yo gap.
I got all albums Snoop ever released OG, how real is that?
Snoop been slipping lately, he only comes tight on cameos.
This new funk-oogie-boogie sounds like he went from weed to crack.
I bet it's not all Snoop-fans who can say they got all his albums OG, or what cuz?
