neither classics nor albums.. but peep these 10 tracks:

Colin Hay - Overkill (acoustic)
The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (Small Town Girl)
The Shins - Caring is Creepy
Coldplay - Don't Panic
Herman's Hermits - No Milk Today
Beatles - With a Little Help from my Friends

Not rocky, still remarkable:
Enigma - Return to Innocence
Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing
LOTR OST - The Riders or Rohirrim

Edit: Best non-rap Track in the Universe: Marc Cohn - Walkin in Memphis
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

David Bowie - Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold The World, Ziggy Stardust
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde On Blonde, John Wesley Harding, The Freewheelin
Bruce Springsteen- Born To  Run, Born In The USA
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood, In Step, The Sky Is Crying
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?, Electric Ladyland, Axis Bold As Love, Band Of Gypsies
Peter Frampton - Frampton, Frampton Comes Alive

These should get you started.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

He liked Creed. That just tells me how his taste in music was lousy. I actually used to like that cat.

But anyways, back to the topic, I reccomend you pick up some Weezer or Rooney. It's not classic rock, but its still good shit.
