Planet Asia and his boys have teamed up with Kutmasta Kurt to give Central Cali heads something to brag about for the next few months. A New Way of Thinking is an up-tempo West Coast collaboration of braggadocio MCs exercising streetwise lyricism over tracks that will definitely get your neck loose. Recommended for fans of the Dilated Peoples, Defari, Hieroglyphics etc…as well as DJs who fancy putting out regular mix tapes. Guest producer Joey Chaves provides the smoothest beat on the record with "Rollin" and I'm willing to bet I'll be hearing it banging out of SUV sound systems when the album drops. Be aware, however; while disguised as a full-length album, the intro plus the 14 tracks consist of seven vocal tracks followed by instrumental versions of those seven songs.
