Eminem announces guest appearances on Encore + more...
« on: October 07, 2004, 07:38:34 AM »
Quote
Eminem was on 106 & Park via telephone and announced that Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Obie Trice, Stat Quo, D12 & Nate Dogg will be appearing on "Encore".

Pretty much they guys that i expected, Obie Trice was a some kind of suprise to me.

And more news on Encore:

Quote
First single "Just Lose It" bowed last week at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, its 52 million listener impressions making it the highest-debuting airplay only track of the year to date.

and...

Quote
Shady already had a huge week on the charts for his first single "Just Lose It" off "Encore" which will be Eminem's 4th Major Album being released on Nov. 16th. Now its time for Marshall to arrive and show his face and this time around Marshall attacks President George W. Bush and the political, economical, & social state of America on the new song "Mosh".

Part of lyrics:
Quote
"Land of the free, Home of the brave
Bush makes it so the soldiers Home is a Grave
military life is emotions of grey
explosions smoke and rolling over boulders to stay
alive and they dive in the commotional way
parents cope with the pain, hope and they pray
its stupid to say
but its evident the president cares more about money then the youth of today"

Quote
The lyrics are a constant attack and full of anger. On the hook Marshall repeats to people to go out and vote and to make sure President Bush is not re-elected. The release date for the new single is still tentative, but theres word going around that the video already has been shot and there will be major guest appearances.

IMO seems to b like 10 times better then Juse lose it, dont know about the beat then, just have to wait and see.

Also, Eminem will b performing @ MTV Europe Music Awards @ Rome 18th november, he's gonna present the new single, Just Lose It, from the upcoming album, Encore.

That's it for now.. ill keep u posted ;)

What the hell is going on with Aftermath, now the release a new single like 2 weeks after the Leadsingle or what?!

p.s.: I dont want Stat Quo on the Album  :-X
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Bashing George Bush on his album? Eminem is setting the bar for creative concepts in this modern day.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

^^^you're just mad cause youre in love with dubya...

seriously.. isnt it a good thing to do whatever you can to make the world a better place? fuck being creative when you can make the world a better place.

I'd do the same. me, Im just a small person, all I can do is spittin my political thoughts on a message board. what Eminem can do is bigger, and Im glad he takes the chance.

yeah, my hope is theres gonna be an Aftermath/Shady posse cut, so that the rest of the album is just Em... :D

doubt it tho, i reckon there'll be 1 track with 50, 1 with Obie Trice and D-12, 1 or 2 with Dre, and 1 with Stat Quo & Nate Dogg on the hook...

That Mosh track looks pretty good. Firey lyrics right there. I'm a bit surprised that "Just Lose It" has been so good on the radio though, but it's all good.

When's the day of the election though? I know it's in November, but the exact date is what?

Well he has to release the Bush song before the election. Hypothetically speaking, if Bush loses, then he releases the song, it'll be completely stupid. Eminem should show up on the last day of the Vote For Change tour and debut it there. I've seen pictures with him hanging with Springsteen backstage at the Grammys, I'm sure Bruce won't be opposed to letting him perform. That is the best way to make an impact on the voting, if it can.

I can't stand Dubya dumbass, when have I made posts praising him? But the only thing I dislike more than Bush himself is all the stupid musicians that jumped on a bandwagon. I see all those "Punk Against Bush" and "Rock Against Bush" and it's stupid. These people didn't pay attention to politics before it became popular to hate Bush. Hell, Bruce Springsteen is one of my favorite artists from when I was a young kid, listening to him with my Dad, and I lost respect for him. I've always felt that if you want to make political music it should be non-partisan.
