"ANIMAL rights extremists have been blamed for mounting a macabre hate campaign against a horrified family.

Last week the body of 82-year-old Gladys Hammond was stolen from the village churchyard where she had been for seven years.
Widow Mrs Hammond was the mother-in-law of Chris Hall, one of two brothers who run the farm in Newchurch, near Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The family, friends and suppliers, have been the victims of death threats, smear campaigns, malicious phone calls and hate mail.

Now her devastated family fear their much-loved grandmother's remains will be used as part of the campaign against them.

really? when i saw this on the news a couple of days ago they weren't sure if it was animal rights or not as this kind of thing has never been done before. then they got the animal rights spokesperon on and he said he didn't think anyone had but then went on to justify if it was true.
