HIP-HOP AND DRUG USE
« on: November 09, 2004, 06:49:38 AM »
I would focus on drugs and musicians in general but I chose to aim for rappers so what do you think about it? I ask because I read an article at WC Rydaz where Kokane admitted he was a "functioning addict," it made me think about how so much talent is wasted on a pipe, needle, whatever one uses to get that "high" that makes them mindless. B.G. claims he kicked his habit but when listening to his lazy flow you would still think is he still snortin or shootin because ever since his first album "True Story" he made made mention of his heroin habit, when he said "before I play with these hoes, I play with my nose..."

it's not just hip-hop.
actually, it's a common thing in art.
therefore also a common thing in music.. and in hip-hop.
brian wilson :) , beatles ... - I could just randomly name legends, and I still would be right for the most part - did drugs - big time.
although, crack & h are not the best drugs to do, that's the problem.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

most 60s 70s and 80s rock stars were fucked up most of the time.. on coke, heroin, weed, lsd, etc..
