I have every single dj quik album, every single amg album, every single mausberg album, every single suga free album (expect pomona pimpin), playa hamms layin hands, every single 2nd ii none album. And my Swing'n cd is on its way. I think i know enough about quik to tell you my opinion. And yes i do have a dre cd and have heard more than alot of dres music to be able to judge who i think is better.

can u tell me what's your point there?

Did I ever say u don't know enough to judge Quik or Dre?

U, not me YOU said people only wouldn't give Quik his props cuz they don't know him.
But ME and everybody in here DO know him AND we know Dre AND we (the majority) still say Dre's the betta one.
So u can't say it's only cuz people don't know him.

They are both talented people...
I pick no sides between either one, But Dj Quik does Write his own rap's, Produce, & Perform all his own music.
He play's his own instrument's.....and Can sing aswell.
That's a talented homie right there.
And his ear is second 2 none when it comes to finding talent....we all know who Quik has brought into the game here's a couple...
Amg
Crawf Dog (Hi-C)
2nd II none
Suga Free
Mausberg ect....that's a talented group right there.

Dj Quik's po$$E cut's are on par with anything Dre & The early Deathrow camp did ImO.
That group of artist's together was & is the most complete.

I pick no sides just have to show my respect for Mr. Dj Quik.

Honestly speaking, has Quik produced an album comparable to The Chronic? I don't think so. It's surely a matter of taste, but you can't deny Dre's influence on hiphop producers. He changed the game while bein on Ruthless, he did it again on Death Row and now that he's established his own label he does it again.

Rhythm-al-ism mixed jazz, rock rap and funk to create an amazing album in hip hop. Quiks production on this album changed the game just as much as dres did on the chron.

Very true. I feel "Rhythm-al-ism" is way more consistent in production than "The Chronic".

At the present time, Quik owns Dre in the production department. He is more versitile.

Dr. Dre and DJ Quik will prolly outlast you

What's up with these resurrected old threads?

I wonder if this is the first Dr. Dre and DJ Quik thread ever posted here.

Anyway I still prefer DJ Quik over Dr. Dre.

Dre is the best producer, but i like quik better cause he's kind of an underdog.

DJ Quik is alot more talented and is a better beat maker then Dre.  Dr. Dre just has a better good ear for producing hot beats that the masses like.

Also, Quiks kills Dre in the rapping department anyday...

Overall Dj Quik is a better artist then Dr. Dre.

Without analysis of who's the better musician, who makes bigger hits and whatnot, I'll just say whose material I like more - Dr. Dre. The Good Doctor, my number one guy. But Quick comes second right behind him.
