NAS 11/19/04 CONCERT REVIEW MIDNIGHT SHOW AT SUNSET HOUSE OF BLUES

ok well there was some weird ass time scheduling for this thing. two days before the show ticketmaster called everyone and told them that the show actually started at 9.... but nas was still scheduled to show up at 12, with djs spinning for the 3 hours. yeah so fuck that. but i went in around 11, and it was actually the beat junkies spinning, like j rocc mr choc and them.. nas come out around midngiht and just went through just about every hit song he had.. i cant even remember em all, but here goes. the songs that he did from each album:

Illmatic: represent, the world is yours, lifes  a bitch, it aint hard to tell, i cant remember if he did One love or not, pretty sure he did though.
It Was Written: if i ruled the world, street dreams, a little of the message

Stillmatic: rewind, ether, one mic, youre da man, got yourself a gun

i cant even remember the rest. it was a hot show though. with the most crowd reaction with If I ruled the world and the illmatic classics, and made you look.  its kinda crazy how many hit songs he has. one thing he didnt perform though was NY State of mind which kinda disappointed me, i thought he was saving it for the encore, but that didnt happen. but o well. Nas put in tons of emotion into his One Mic act which was pretty sick. and then he brought his dad out for bridging the gap which was also fun to watch. its good that hes able to hold a show on his own though with no guests, no wack hype men or nothin.  i didnt even have tickets for this show at first, they sold out while i was waiting for my friend to make a decision if he wanted to go. but after like two weeks of being sold out, they released a limited amount of ftickets on tuesday, and i was able to grab 2, before they sold out again later that night. on ebay a pair was readching like 200, so im lucky that i was able to score em for 110. 

the security guards had to lay the law down in the middle of the show, i saw like 5 guards straight trying to take down some big ass black fool, and they were all fighting. haha there were some famous people in the house.. i talked to someone after the show who said that he saw Mr. Marcus (black pornstar ) and a bunfch of porno chicks in the front row, big Tigga was in the house too from bassment rap city, and also some bball players (he didnt mention specifics though, but player from knicks).
