What did y'all think of the Shade Sheist album?  I was wondering whether or not to pick it up.  Is it worth it?

As for a good Westcoast gangsta-shit album, it's good.
But I still don't feel Shade Sheist, I think he's too laidback and got average rhymes.
Dope beats and some nice cameos keeps the album up though..

The beats and guest appearances save this album IMO. Shade Sheist voice is just too laid back but this cd is dope

Support the West coast and pick it up

The Shade Sheist Album.

Finally, members who sound like they have really 'listened' to the album, and not just heard it. I don't skip any of the tracks either, I always listen to the whole album. According to Shade, that was his intent. I also agree that his laid-back flow is a change for the better (I'd rather listen to 6 smooth-flow cuts from Shade, than 4 strained cuts from Xzibit.) Sheist sounds like he really played a big-role in putting this album together, which fits the co-executive producer credit he received. And as far as Dj Clue, Shade is just paying his respects to his Roc-a-Fella family (speaking of which, the Episode of Direct Effect on MTV that features Sheist is supposed to air on the 20th.) If he (Clue) bothers you that much, then purchase the edited version of the album which does not feature him on "X2."
