TRIBUTE TO MY LOST NOTEBOOK

I hope that nobody reads this rap/
Infact I threw out my last note book cause it was wack/
Now I can't go back and remember what I wrote and thought/
So instead the same mistakes keep popping up/
I can't remember why I did this instead of that/
Because I threw the whole notebook away and said it was crap/
But maybe I wasn't writing it to impress/

Maybe I was just writing so I wouldn't forget/
Forget all the pain and all the regret/
From that one bitch in 1996/
Or maybe it was that other from 1999/
I say bitch because they weren't no friend of mine/
But still there was something I wanted to remember/
But now I must of forgot/
I lost all my old material when I threw it out the garage/
I left it at my friends house, in the trash/
for the trashman to pick up and smash/


Many years of thoughts on paper/
destroyed, wrecked and demolished/
If you don't learn from the past/
Then your destined to repeat it/
In that case I'm done, because my past I can not read it/
OH NO watch out, like Baldwin said/
a shitstorm is a comin/
Lookout, head left, head right, it can't miss you/

Ohhh if I could remember what was in those notebooks/
I could prevent tragedy before it strikes/
But now those conditioned brainwaves are in control/
and they roll whichever way the wind blows/
Damn.. I need that notebook/
I seriously need that notebook/

I'm going to start a new one and title it...
TRIBUTE TO MY LOST NOTEBOOK/
And make a new notebook all about my lost one/
So then maybe I can change the future before it begun/
I'm okay now, I'm safe, I better stop it before it's too late/

So yo... I'm out, to pick up a new notebook/
I hope that I don't make the same mistake/
And throw this one out because next time will be too late/
