The article said as of August 2002 we've only heard a verse on "additive" since rakim signed in 2000

The Source obviously hasn't heard "Cold Feeling" yet then, and that track has been recorded since his signing with Aftermath because he mentions Dre & Aftermath in the song.

It's like M Dogg said, they could be holding vital information back so they can drop a load of information on the album when everyone least expects it, or they might not drop any or little information and just let the music speak for itself WHEN it finally drops. This is not gonna be your average release, this is gonna be something special, I can feel it.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I just read the article and it's what I thought, they are trying to mislead us.  So many sources provide different info.  It's true, no one know what the hell is going on.  Not The Source, not Mellowman and certainly not any websites.  And that's what Ra and Dre want.

I'd say the only confirmed aspects on the album are that Dre will be producing and Ra will be rhyming.  Em, MOP, Primo, Hi-Tek...etc., I'd say none of these guys are on for sure.

I wouldn't be suprised if Dre is the only producer.

Aftermath album failures...

Dawn Robinson
"Thy Kingdom Come"
Eve
The Last Emporer
"Hitt's Big Score"

All of those people are pretty much little known MC's/singer, with the exception on Eve, but she was even unknown back then.

I can't see how Dre can let one of the greatest slip by.  Plus, he's said he has always wanted to work with Ra, and in interviews he always talks about the album, and how they are vibin' in the studio.  Dre never really spoke of the other artists that way.

One thing in that article that I learned is that Big Daddy Kane and Rakim almost had a beef going.  They were going to battle live one night, but it didn't go through.
That would of been an historic moment in hip-hop.
I would pay good money to see that happend now, 12 years later.  It would still be dope.

Y'all are just like women, all worried and shit.  What's the point?  If it never comes out, what are you losing?  nothing.  Dre isn't stupid, he made 51 mil. last year for a reason.  Everyone is saying that this album is taking so long to make, but it's not like they record the album 9-5 everyday.  They do other things too.  Just fuckin relax, and watch what happens.

Im so sick and tired of Dre!!He takes fuckin forever to produce a track, let alone a whole album. He needs to wake up and stop being such a perfectionist.Ive been waiting for the Rakim album since november of 2000 and here it is going on 2003.Is it just me or is something seriously wrong??Dre said that they plan on releasing it in november yeah right!!I HAVE THIS STRANGE FEELING THAT THIS ALBUM WILL NEVER COME OUT AND RAKIM WILL END UP LIKE KING TEE AND EVE.What do you guys think??where in the hell is mellowman/please shed some light on this album please.

Rakim will have a similar fate to that of King Tee, Eve, The Last Emporor, and even outside aftermath fam like Knocturnal.
Eve was never even on Aftermath, anyway.
