Marvin Gaye - What's going on
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
.....
these are classics. I like hiphop, but people are too quick to call things "classic".

Its just that everybody looks at Dre as the best producer of all time and the hitmaker.. so when they hear a new dre track andthey got high(and i mean HIGH) expectations and if the track dont live up to those expectation, then they are going to say it used the same instrumentals and hes getting repetitive, personally i dig all of his latest productions..

4 real. I've never heard a bad Dr Dre production. He really is an outstanding producer, easily one of the best ever in any genre. Shit, I mean he had Michael Jackson and Madonna (and many others) overing major $$$ for Dre to produce for him because thaey recognise his brilliance. No one can do it like Dre. There are many excellent hip-hop producers but nobody is better than dre.
Also in my opinion he has produced many truely classic songs and classic albums. We all know them;
1. Dr Dre - The Chronic
2. Dr Dre - 2001
3. N.W.A - all their albums were amazing
4. Eminem - all his albums, even though he didn't produce all the tracks he was the executive producer and brought the best out of Em and the other producers involved.
5. Snoop - Doggystyle
6. Tha Dogg Pound - Dogg Food (same as Eminem, he executive produced the album and helped make it a classic)

and a whole gang of other shit.

To me Dr Dre is the best producer in hip-hop and has been for over 10 years in the game. Also with the future releases (Rakin, Detox etc.) he has planned he is going to continue this for a while.

peace

No, of course not every track he produces is a classic, but he still is the best. No doubt.
