hittman update
« on: August 26, 2002, 11:55:31 AM »
yo sup y'all, i gotta email of ben baller about hitt's situation.........dont tell you much really but like heres a lil hope for y'all............i dunno about y'all but sumtimes ben baller seems like his jus chattin shit and other times his believable.........u decide of what ya think of this........its hard to believe that hitt would rite the whole of detox for dre is hard to believe for starters, i mean im sure eminem wil rite for him n so on u know.........but anyways enough of me and check what ben baller goes

"you funny.

he had to start from ground zero, since the album was leaked.
he's in the studio with Dre working on "DETOX" in fact Hitt might be writing the entire record for Dre as well as appearing on it, to insure that Dre will hold up his end of the deal and produce a majority of HITT's record.  We need this piggy back help from Dre so that we get a decent push at the start.

I don't want the record to end up like Knocturnals Record.

thanks and hitt says thanks for still showing interest"

peace

He means the "bootleg". My guess is the bootleg was the real album. Ben was just trying to cover up so wed think the cd was even better. I dont get why they cant just put it out. Id still get it, I thought it sounded great and could have made a very good cd. A good welcome to the game for hittman. Hell it doesnt have to be perfect, cant they just put out some songs they hav done to keep hitts name alive.

the bootleg was definatly not Hitt's album. Reason No.1 Dre would not release an album that whack from one artist.
Reason No.2 Go to www.thaformula.com and they got an interview with Hitt & Ben and in it they play some of the album to the interviewer and the interviewer is like DAAAAMN! and no one thought that about the bootleg.
Reason No.3 Xxplosive part 2 was not on it and neither was JayDee who according to Hitt produced a few cuts along with Alchemist and mahogany.
I think they just to up date some of the songs or they didn't get offered that good deals by other labels so they're trying to get back with aftermath

unless hitt gets major help from Dre from his album, I think it will be a sleeper.  I will definately get it, but a majority of rap listeners probably won't.  That is the sad thing about rap nowadays, if you are not affiliated with a certain few people, or you do gangsta rap, then you ain't gonna get recognized.

yea i agree......... but i dont get why they didnt put the album when the hype was there (same problem with knocturnal) he had a guest spot on forgot about dre at the end of the video, every hip hop fan heard him on that, and everyone who bought chronic 2001 heard him on like 4 tracks, so why not put it out then, i mean they had all the dope tracks ready, so they could have made a hit record for sure. i know its quikker said then dunn but still. release that shit!

Still, "LAst Dayz," "Direct It," "Hiznit" and "Front Page" are all very tight and prolly would make the final cut.

Dre missed the best time to put his record out right before The MMLP, cause he had him @ the end of that video.  He was just all over "2001."  After that, there was no time cause of Up In Smoke.

It's a shame Hitt will never get a chance to sell big. I can't see it happening.
