Interesting topic.....

The thing is there are several different species of Tiger across the world, so it depends on what kind of Tiger you are talking about. A male Lion is bigger than most species of Tiger, but the Siberian Tiger is the largest living cat today.....

all in all, it would probably be an even matchup, I guess it would just be who was having the better day, lol.

If Ligers get into the mix, I'd say both lions and tigers would better back off. Those critters can grow 1,5 times as big as a Siberian tiger (largest tiger) and weigh twice as much. I wouldn't mess with one!

But between lion and tiger, tigers are my favorites :)

Some people who shall not be named apparently have a feeling of horror when they post in this sort of admittedly childish but nevertheless quite fun threads...may I advise those people not to watch this thread again let alone post on it?

anyhow, for lions killing bears...I'd say a lion would wisely back off when facing an adult grizzly or polar bear. (those guys can weigh in at 800 kg,whereas an adult lion weighs around 300 at best!) Lions and tigers might be a match for smaller bears though and sloth bears and malaysian bears are apparently hunted by tigers.
