How to convert DVD audio to an mp3??? HELP!!!
« on: August 05, 2002, 02:31:03 PM »
I have some tight dvds that contain some tight songs which I would like to eventually burn on to a mix cd for myself to bump, but I was wondering if someone could give me any kind of a good step-by-step on what I need to do. Do I have to go out and buy anything else? Cords, etc??? Do I just need to download stuff? Can someone please help me out? thanx!

Download flaskmpeg, official homepage here http://go.to/flaskmpeg.

The easiest thing to use is Total Recorder. It records any sound playin on the computer to WAV. Get it full off Kazaa cause the demo only records 30 or 40 seconds. Then go to Download.com and look up WAV converter and get somthin that converts WAV's to MP3. If you're having troubles PM me.

Actually one of my friends ripped the audio from that and I burnt it on a special cd from a ftp. It's pretty damn tight!

Only problem with the Total Recorder solution as you will loose quality as your soundcard will be sampling it.  The flask method is a straight digital transfer.

I will have a play with flask in a bit and post a quick how to for ya ... :)

Total recorder doesnt loose quality at all. Plus its very easy to use. But hey if no one believes me then Ill be the only one who never has to beg people to send me tracks in mp3 form.
