All i want is a 213 album........
« on: August 15, 2002, 04:22:32 AM »
You know what?  I am not sure i care if Dre and Snoop work together anymore, and i don't really care if it does turn out to be Aftermath vs. Doggystyle.  I also don't care if Snoop and Dre have a reunion album, or if "NWA" puts out another album.  Right now, i don't even want a DPGC album......i don't really care if they are all one big happy family and shit, because when it comes down to it they are grown men and can do what ever they want, even if it does include making serious bitch moves (kurupt joining THA ROW being the most notable bitch move).

We have had Dre and Snoop basicaly do a collabo album (The Chronic), and it was perfect.  Snoop has already had a whole album dont by Dre, and it was perfect.   NWA has a couple classic albums, so i am satisfied there also.  Daz and kurupt made a classic album, and there is a ton of material with DPGC together.

What i really want is a 213 album!   I still can't believe these three guys were actually a group (that is a lot of talent).  If they would have put out a record at the height of their careers (after Warren dropped Regulate), it would've sold about 5 million and more importantly be a westcoast, and all around, hip hop classic.

If, and when this album does drop, i hope and pray that it is a 213 album with NO GUESTS.  Why do you need guests when you have 2 rappers and a great singer.  If Snoop and Warren come correct (and i know Warren would work harder than ever before), than they are all i want on a 213 album.  As for producers, all you need is Warren G doing the original g Funk (as he said he would go back to for this 213 album)....

So, i am not worried about who is beefing with who because one thing stays consistent since the beginning of Death Row and the DPGC........Nate, Warren, and Snoop have ALWAYS been down for each other.  If it was only those three standing together after a bunch of bullshit, i would be damn happy, cuz then they would HAVE TO make a 213 album!

100% agreed
we have dre and snoop albums, we have nwa classics - what we need is 213 album
i mean shit it would be different if there were more 213  joints on all of their solo albums but we hardly have any (my favourite being the original The Game Don't Wait - to me way better then the remix) - we need more
its not like any of their solo careers are going good at the moment (i know snoop sells but i aint feelin most of his latest shit) they should forget about solo and focus on 213
no features is a dope idea as well
i want to see more albums wit my one producer as well - it would allow 213 to have a more set g funk sound to just have warren g producin
213 is one of the number 1 cd's i want to see - up there wit Rakim and the golden state project

I really would like to see all those collabo albums, unlike yourself, but yeah I agree, I am feinding for a 213 album. Especially after hearing the most recent tracks they've done as a 3-some, it just makes sense for them to work together. I could definately see it being a classic, and hopefully it would get Nate & Warren some proper exposure & recognition again, like they deserve. I also find Warren brings out the best in Snoop, as does Dre.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I myself would like it if Dre, Snoop, Warren, Daz & so on would keep their "family ties" intact. I mean the idea of a Dre - Snoop beef is totally absurd. They've been through so much, they practically created each others' solo careers, and are (or at least WERE) as tight as brothers.

But I hear ya though on the 213 album. When I listened to The Return of the Regulator for the first time and heard:

"What's up with 213? It's comin', so start yo tape decks runnin'!"

I really got my hopes up. And further up they went after Yo Sassy Ways... Dammit Snoop! Get yo shit together, get those albums out or just forget about 'em so you can consentrate on some IMPORTANT SHIT like a 213 album!!! G-Funk is what the game is missin' and this trio would be perfect to bring it up again! This trio has potential to make an entire album full of "Nuthin' but a G Thangs", "California Loves" and "Regulators".

yeah i would much rather see this than the snoop/daz collab,
but there sould be a few guests not much though probably just a song with daz, maybee soopafly and tray deee..........keep it old school from the lbc, not to mention a few guest producers wouldn't be so bad, ya know 2 pr 3 other tracks would only help the album

A 213 album would probably have sold more back in 95 but to me it'd be nearly as amazin as it'd have been back then if it came out now. Snoop was never too much of a lyricist, so IMO it's not really him that fell off but rather his albums productions got worse and worse. Same for Warren G, he still on the same level lyrically but production-wise his songs could never live up to the ones on "Regulate" again. Nate was always like a bonus artist on many songs to me, that's why he never put out a really dope solo album. I don't know whether I'd want a 213 album to have guest spots. The number of guest spots on "Tha Last Meal" was annoyin and most G-Funk albums were flooded with guest spots, but on the other hand two of the greatest west coast albums of all times were flooded with guest spots too and I love em for that. What would "The Chronic" have been without no DPGC, RBX and The D.O.C. ?

Hell yeah, I would love a 213 album too. Snoop, Warren and Nate never made a wack song together.

If it ever happens, and I pray that it does, I agree that this would be a definite hip hop classic.

No guest features.
Production ONLY handled by Warren G. and maybe a track or two by Dr. Dre ;).
Take time making it and perfect the album.

I honestly don't think it will ever drop. Snoop seems too busy. It's a shame too.
