bay area producers get no respect
« on: August 14, 2002, 05:45:58 AM »
Man bay producers are dope as fuck, and it seems like they don't get any props.  I listen to a lot of bay area rap and I don't even really know of any producers.  I know Bosko, E-A-Ski, others I just can't think of right now.

I was listening to Mac Dre's "its not what you say...its how you say it" album and I never knew Mac Dre produced.  Him and wash house do some dope ass work.  Lil Bruce has some tight production on his album.  Anyone know who produced Mobbin in my oldschool?

Who are some dope bay producers?  Why the hell doesn't snoop get some bay producers instead of all these east coast producers.  And I like a lot of recent bay production better than recent Dr. Dre production.

I don't think it is the money for snoop, I think it is the reputation and image.  Snoop is already rich as hell, and he is going to continue getting richer everyday.  If Snoop really was in it all for the money the he could be dicking over a whole bunch of young knowledgeless artists just like Suge did.  Snoop lets his artists get all the money from their albums, he doesn't take a fat chunk of it like most record label execs.

Dont get me wrong, i know he's rich. I mean he only cares to make the damn album and to sell it. And to get the money. He doesnt care to make a classic album no more, working night & day & night & day on the same track to make it better and better. You know what i mean? That's my impression.

So Snoop dissing other West Coast rappers.. i aint feeling that. It looks like he's God and nobody on the West is at his level. Fuck that. I aint feeling him on this one.

I think Snoop is really looking out for his homies and trying to help them come up in the game.

There's alot of dope Bay Area producers. I think one of the best is Khayree of Young Black Brotha Records. He produced:
Ray Luv - Forever Hustlin
Young Lay - Black N Dangerous
Mac Mall - Illegal Business?
Mac Dre - Young Black Brotha
Dubee AKA Sugawolf
Mac Mall - Immaculate

He hasn't done that much since 97, but should be one of the best on the westcoast.

Tie your leg to a car, tie the other to a pole

Hop in the car, hit the gas, watch your ass split in half

tha bay area producers get no respect, just like alotta tha young talent from the bay. i mean DJ DARYL, is on of my favorite producers outta tha bay. he produced "i get around" by 2 pac, "if i could change" by steady mobb'n, and a gang of no limit shit. but he still doesn't get his respect. rick rock, is one of the only up & coming producers that i can say is gettin some respect.
