Rappers doing DOPE tracks before their own albums
« on: August 07, 2002, 06:08:17 PM »
I really hate when you REALLY anticipate someones album, and just before the release of the album, the rapper appears on several REALLY dope tracks, that won't be on the album, when you KNOW that those tracks would have improved the album.
E.g. Xzibit

I know there's gonna be at least 1 or 2 average tracks on MVM
But what if he had these tracks on there?:
Some of 'em feat. Devin & Nas
&
The Streets remix feat. W.C., Nate Dogg & Snoop Dogg

Add another Xzibit verse on the start of The Streets remix for good measure.
What yall think? I really would love to see rappers saving their best shit for their own albums.

the streets is a track by WC !!!
and im lookin out mo for that new WC album than
the xzibit album !!!
so it's correct, that this song will appear on WCs album
and not on xzibits album

eh, did you get my point?
The REMIX will probably NOT be on W.C's new album, and with a added Xzibit-verse it would be tight on Xzibit's album, or with a added Snoop-verse it would have been dope on Snoop's album.

Comprende?

man whats with you and xzibit, you talk about him every chance you get. Personaly I think Snoop and x ruined a great song. I only bump the OG track. the reason you guys like it so much is cause snoop and xzibit are on it. They just recycled WC's and Nates parts and added in 2 verses. I bet WC wasnt even in the studio with them. The original just has that feel of WC and Nate vibing together. Snoop and xzibits parts were just thrown in.

:o :o Mayn, didn't you even listen to their verses?
They both came tight as fuck, and that says a lot for Snoop.
He usually sets auto-pilot on remixes, but this was classic shit.

Maybe if they all recorded the song together but since I heard the OG one first I could just see how the verses were just added in. Its hard to explain. I could just tell that they did the song without WC with them. They used the same beat, same chorus, same WC verse. SO there was nothing new and fresh there. Id respect it if they had it all new but to me this is just another stupid remix that had no reason to be made.
