All eyez on me was to me a Death Row compilation. They could have easily made that into a 1 disc album to strengthen it

death row comp?

2pac was on every song, meanwhile Dre was only on 1, Snoop only rapping on 1, Kurupt only rapped on 2

it was a Pac album to the fullest, most of the guests weren't even on dr
most of the artists were from death row:dre, snoop, jewell, david blake(dj quik),michel'le,danny boy, nate dogg, tha dogg pound, cpo boss hogg.

i wasn't counting producers (quik) or background singers (jewell, michel'le)

but i got a good count of people who weren't signed to death row in 1995 and appeared on aeom:  big syke, method man, redman, the outlawz, c-bo, e-40 b-legit, storm, rappin 4-tay, richie rich

they weren't back up singers. LOL i don't count the outlawz they were unsigned but later signed to death row.

This is questionable. For one All Eyez On Me has had WAY more re-releases than Life After Death. Also, Death Row has not paid to update the sound scans on All Eyez On Me in at least 10 years. Bad Boy had paid to update Life After Death pretty regularly. So Life After Death may actually have more sales, but we don't know. Officially they do, and sometimes re-releases are under their own sales. So maybe All Eyez On Me released in 1996 has 9 million (as of 1998) and the re-release in 2001 sold 2 million and the re-release in 2005 sold 1 million. Instead of officially selling 12 million to Biggie's 10 million, it will go under selling 9 million.

this is prob true, I dont think fatboy could beat the good looking movie star at anything.

Because it had all the Death Row gang all over it. Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Daz, Michel'le, CPO Boss Hogg, Jewel, Danny Boy. Alongside under Suges management - DJ Quik & KCi & JoJo. Affiliated from other Death Row albums George Clinton, and DJ Pooh. The production itself as well was Death Row sounding apart from a few. To me the entire album had that compilation feel. It was like a "2Pac present: Death Row", but not so much as a criticism as it still done what it was intended to do, come out with a bang, and with a huge selection of tracks

No, I'd say All Eyez On Me was more of a 2Pac proves his on Death Row by doing a song with each person on Tha Row. So he did a song with Dre, a song with Tha Dogg Pound, 2 with Snoop, a couple with Nate Dogg, and add another Kurupt feature for good measure. In total, 7 of the 27 songs on the album had a Death Row feature. The Outlawz had 5 songs in which they were featured and random Bay area artist had 5 features as well. Some of those features had cross over. And I don't count producers, because of course his going to use Death Row producers as Death Row at the time had the best producers in the game. It was basically a dream album for the fans, as I was 15 when it came out and I remember being in awe that 'Pac had finally done a Death Row album. It was 2Pac doing a Death Row album, and it sounded so right and natural. But make no mistake, it was a 2Pac album. When you learn how 2Pac does songs, you see that 2Pac made the songs and the Death Row producers had to adjust their style to work it around 'Pac, not 'Pac trying to be a Death Row artist.

I'm sure it's higher at around 10 or so, but yeh I agree with most of your post. & as you said, back then I too was around the same age (14) and at that time as you'll know it was unheard of for any pop artist, let alone a rap artist have a double disc album out.. Double CD collections were restricted to chart compilations, or dance collections. Artist albums were for the most part short and 1 disc, and I guess back then having a huge collection of songs like that, with so many features (about 40% of the album had solo's) it just had that compilation feel. He was shouting Death Row all over the album, having Death Row artists. Obviously it was 2Pac doing a Death Row album, but at that time it felt like Death Row having 2Pac advertise Death Row, but then the same can go for any album previously on the label (Chronic, Doggystyle) No other label at that time I can recall doing the same thing
