I dont know if you guys have seen this show, it's either on showtime or HBO. The show is called "BULLSHIT," It is hosted by Penn And Teller. I recommend you guys watch this if you come across it. They have a good episode on Genetically Modified foods. Basically they interviewed a bunch of hippies and the hippies said something like "All modified food is not safe, you don't know what the put in it" and they make some bogus statements. Then the hosts totally make these hippies looked stupid, but they back it with facts, unlike the hippies. i dont really remember too much from it, as i seen it a long time ago.
