Since you guys are young, sex is the most important thing the pope preaches. I'm a Catholic, the girl I am messing with is Catholic, we ain't married and we use condoms. The pope doesn't push that weight. We know the basic church preachings, only have sex during marriage. The Bible says that, we should follow it. We are sinners, so we do what we gotta do. But the church can't go back on what the Bible says, it doesn't have that right.

What you guys should be doing is talking about how the pope has done many great things in the world. His proven to be a pope that's for the poor, and is using the Vatican II's belief of social justice in the church. His gone to many poor countries and visit many people. The pope has been an example to us all.

The church doesn't believe in premarital sex, whether it's happening, or not!  It doesn't matter if the entire world is doing it, they don't believe in it.  They also don't believe in contraception.  If everyone was NOT having premarital sex (like the church believes they shouldn't), then all the tons and tons of babies born as a result would be born in wedlock.  You wouldn't have the problem of young mothers with unwanted babies.

The Pope is not the Prime Minister, you know what i mean? He doesnt make laws and you dont go to jail if you dont respect his opinion. He's just there to tell you what's good and what's wrong for Christians. Catholic Christians of the Church of Rome, to be precise. Every move you make, that's always up to you, expecially if we talk about those ethical things. The Church shows you the right way from their point of view, exactly like Muslims or Jews do it. Then you can do whatever you want, they dont force you to make anything, really. That's what i'm saying. Here, in Italy, where the Pope lives, abortion is legal, divorces are legal (and a lot of people devorce, unfortunally), condoms are legal and used by almost everybody (but the dumb ones who doesnt really give a fuck), pills and shit are legal and a lot of girls uses them, and we are having a referendum in a pair of months for other ethical problems like those ones (but the whole Italian Nation is voting, not the Christians only). The Pope tells you what you should do. Then you can do whatever you want. That's why we pray God to forgive our sins.

What is happening in the world is that you see sex on tv 24/7, that internet is full of sex, that girls have sex for the first time when they are 14-15 years old, that 80% of today's movies have at least a sex scene, that people think sex is the most important thing in life, etc.. That's what's happening. That gay are getting married, that you can have kids even if you a gay, that you can have a kid by the sperm of a dead man too, that you can frooze your sperm to have 300 kids, that you...... that's what's happening!

I'm a greek orthodox  so i don't follow the pope but here's my opinion.

I've said this before about abortion , the only time a woman should be able to have an abortion is when going to labor and whatever threatens her health (which is REALLY REALLY rare) , if she was raped and got pregnant , have the baby and give it away if u feel u can't raise it ,give the baby a chance at life . And if u got pregnant cause u and ur boyfriend thought "hey we're responsible enough to live with the consequences of having sex" and then u have an abortion then fuck u . ur both selfish bitches that don't deserve to breath . U get pregnant: u bring the baby into the world and pull in 20 hour work days if u have to , to support it.

Also , it seems that most the christians(heck most religious people) on this site and probably the world agree with the pope.Yet people who don't give a shit about what the pope or the Vatican say , are the ones saying that the church needs to change it's views.
So get this ,what they're saying is : "the church should compromise it's beliefs to please us , even though we don't really consider them to be any kind of real reference ."

ur saying the only way to fight the problems that come with having sex is by using condoms and if u get pregnant using abortion , the church is saying it's by way of abstinance and teaching kids what the real consequences of sex are in hope that it'll make then understand what's at stake.
