ATL #2 on Billboard's Rap Chart
« on: August 08, 2002, 03:12:24 AM »
Just got this e-mail from the ATL staff..

"Wednesday, August 7th, 2002

First and foremost we at ABVDLAW.COM want to give a big shout out to Cold 187um
aka Big Hutch The Great, KM.G aka Vin Loco, and DJ K-OSS aka Seldom Seen for
having the HIGHEST CHARTED RECORD ON BILLBOARD TO DATE.

SEX, MONEY, AND MUSIC b/w GHETTO PLATINUM (the maxi single) is:

#2 on Billboard's Rap Chart
#3 on Billboard's R&B Chart
#3 on Billboard's Maxi Single Chart
AND......................

#8 on Billboard's POP CHART (This is their first ever Top Ten POP Record)!!!!

We also would like to thank E.C.M. Distribution for getting the record out to
all our retailers in a timely manner in order for the group to achieve this
success.

Many people have written the group off as being "old" and not able to compete
with the young kinfolk, but this just goes to show that Above The Law still has
what it takes to put out quality Hip-Hop music. This is also a big boost for the
West Coast, which shows that the Originators of G-Funk music is setting a
standard of success for Gangsta Rap and we don't need a Ruthless, Tommy Boy, or
Tha Row Records (but we know ATL has love for these same companies), to save the
careers of these Three Black Supermen. So we hope that all of our West Coast
based artists can continue this trend. This is the only beginning and best
believe ATL ABVDLAW.COM, and WestWorld Records has a lot more work to do, we are
aiming for #1 on all these charts.

Again Big Up's to our Homies and DJ K-OSS keep your head up dog, we doin' this
for you!!!!

Oh, and a Happy Belated Birthday Big Hutch (August, 4th) and many more. I think
this news is a great B-Day gift for you, hahahaha.

OKAY WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE SITE?
All we can say that the site will be up soon, sorry for the delay. Hopefully,
the next update will be the announcement that we are up and running!!

The single Sex, Money, & Music is available in several areas around the country,
but until the site is up for all our LA compadres, you can pick up the specially
priced Maxi Single at the following stores in the Greater Los Angeles Area
