I'd say that 2Pac, Biggie, KRS-One and Rakim are the only people you could justify at number one.  Maybe Kool G Rap, Kane or Cube too.

Even though I personally believe 2pac is goat by far I will say this to be fair. For the number one spot I would say either 2pac, cube, rakim, or krs-one. I would put Biggie in the top ten, but number one no way. Biggie was a great lyricist and storyteller, but unfortunately I do not believe he was alive long enough when considering his work to be number one. I also believe Biggie is one of the most overrated rappers ever though not his fault and that Life After Death is 3.5 mics at best. For the goat runner ups - kool g rap and kane ... once again no! Maybe in the top 20 ... but there are other rappers that deserved that spot more such as Scarface, Chuck D, and Ice-T.

and this post definatly warrants a negative karma, or two. Or three.

The only MC u mentioned that is worthy is Nas. Fat Joe, Crooked I, Snoop?? Get the fuck outta here. Dre? He dont even write his own lyrics, that right there makes Pac better by default. Pun?? Not enough material, never got into him anyway.

and Biggie and Jay Z are by far the two most overrated rappers of ALL TIME (followed closely by Eminem). Im sick and tired of all the dickriding these two get. Honestly, I cant stand either one of them (and no, it doesnt have anything to do with Pac beefing with them, because Pac had beef with Nas and Mobb Deep and I like them just fine), and quite frankly, they wouldnt even make my top 30. Also, I cant stand their fans either, especially Biggie fans. Hate them with a passion.

That's because you guys aren't into the eastcoast stuff that much... I pretty much agree with them lists, and I'll personally take Big over Pac any day. However Pac may be the bigger and better rapper, I liked Big better. Maybe you're right, Pac should have been above Biggie, but then there's still so many other legendary rappers...

while I definitely do prefer west coast rap I started listening to east coast rap first so what you just said is not true. I still bump nas, wutang, biggie(I have not bumped him in a long time, but he was like one of my first favorite rappers), gangstarr, tribe called quest, krs-one from time to time, and rakim. Also my brother loves slick rick so I am always hearing him too. Secondly, Pac IS above Biggie - not Pac should have been above Biggie. I just had to get that off my chest.
