I really appreatiate the time and effort took to put this together but afew of your facts were off ( more so then the first instalment)  and it seems like there is a little bitterness toward snoop throughout the article...as someone with a background in journalism Im probably being a bit harsh, but I see so much potential
in this, and I want to read it as if it were an article in vibe or some other hip hop publication...but ultimately the use of your own opinions through out the article makes that impossible...never the less I commend you for the time it must have took to piece this together and cant denigh that it is a compelling read....

thanks for the honest feedback...

as I dealt with the first time, I am not a proffessional journalist, and therefore just put this together for fun. Personal opinion was essential for this, because I did it for people who wanted my opinion. I did not write this for Dubcc or DubCNN, but decided to share it here because I knew of the interest.

I also found there are MANY different takes on most of the events in 1996, so I hard it find to prove which is right and wrong. You claim some facts are wrong, when 100 other people would say they are actually correct, but there's some other facts that are wrong.

So much of the label is surrounded in myth, I am just putting foward the Death Row Records history, I am aware of and have studied through music, the net, TV, The Source/Vibe/XXL/Rolling Stone from that time frame etc...

anything I wrote I have some form of evidence to back up... 99% of the time ;)

Can DubCC permanently archive this?  It's that good.  Toby, you should try to publish this.

Great information.  Two of the best posts ever on a "westcoast hip-hop" message board.

Thanks.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

Damn, thanks for that man, it was a good compliment for me to wake up to...

Yes, Vol.1 of that Nate Dogg cd is technically Death Row music, whereas Vol.2 is not (notice Warren G wasnt involved in the Death Row part?)

That was real thorough man, thanx for that. Definitely some stuff I had never read before.

I actually bought a copy of Nate's album (G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 and 2) when he released it on his own label in 98', I think. Most of it was pretty good, too.
