NWA without Dre?
« on: July 26, 2002, 09:51:31 AM »
the members of  NWA have come n go..

mc ren wasnt in the group on NWA n the pssoe
then ice cube left...
and... eazy wasnt on chin check...(the NWA reunion)

only Dre have alwayz been in the group...

but at the time 94/95, when Eazy, Ren and Yella did eazy's "staright outta tha streets..." album.. couldnt they kick Dre out and do a NWA album without Dre?? and maybe add the compton g Dresta?

i think that would be pretty dope   8) .... even tho the production wouldnt be as good....

what yall think?  ???  ...... and why didnt they do it?... was Dre too important?  :-/

Remember Eazy had already died when that tracks was released! And besides, he had beef with Ren (remember the rumored NWE project? Niggaz Without Eazy, which was supposed to be Dre, Cube & Ren)!

I think that would have been fucked up cause u can't just kick somebody out.
Eazy wasn't kicked out he's dead and Dre and Cube often showed their respect for him.

Dre was very important for N.W.A.
Except the fact that N.W.A. and Ruthless would never have blown up without Dre he was also a tight rapper.
His part of 100 Miles And Runnin was tight as a muthafucka and he wrote rhymes himself back n those days so ain't nothin wrong bout him.

Word.  My favorite NWA album is "Efil4zaggin"..... Cube is one of the greatest hip-hop writers ever, he left the group, and Dre just had DOC step in and they didn't lose a step.  Dre makes it happen.  He'll find the right people to get the job done.  But without Dre, you have alot of talent, without the direction and production.

sorry for bumpin this thread. but i found a nice interwiev about this... Tha Source is interwievin MC Ren:

You say that you and Eazy didn't speak for two years. What caused the rift?

It happened right after Dre left. When he left the group, Eric wanted to do an N.W.A album. Every year when an N.W.A album would die out, he would want to get started on the next one. When it got time to do the next one, he was like, "we finna do this album." But I was like, dogg, how we gonna do an N.W.A album without Dre doin' the beats? He wanted to bring in somebody else to back the shit.

And you didn't approve of that?
I was like, that's gonna be wack. We was talking one day and had a fall out. He was like, "fuck it, if you don't wanna do it, we'll do it without you. I was like, fuck it, do it without me. Him, me, Yella and somebody new? I was like naw, that ain't gonna work.

soo, at least Eazy wanted a NWA album without Dre  ;)

a NWA album with just Eazy n Yella wouldnt work.. so we should blame MC ren for this lol...

N.W.A. still needed Dre. Ren wanted it tight. And 3 in N.W.A. don't seem right, except now 'cause E is gone, and the Snoop experiment failed. E shouldn't be replaced, and if Dre spits, it should only be with D.O.C. rhymes to fill in. IMO
