Top 5 Record's companys worst moves
« on: August 04, 2002, 08:25:28 PM »
1- Not releasing a second single for Nate Dogg's album

2- Waiting too long to release "Get Yor Walk On" By Xzibit

3- Kurupt... only ONE video for Kurupt... "It's Over" When "Bring Back That G Shit" would be a classic video with a censored version named "Bring Back That G Thang"

4- Warren G ... Only ONE video

5-  Knocturnal... enought said

Whats your thoughts ?

3.  Record labels signing female rappers all the time

4.  Priority/No Limit not releasing "Bitch Please" on time.

5.  Def Jam not releasing "Summertime in the LBC" by the Dove Shack as a single

1. Suge Knight letting Dr. Dre leave instead of cleaning up Death Row.

2. Sugar Hill Gang Records refusing to change with times and not signing LL Cool J, who was the cornerstone of the now bigger than Hip-Hop Def Jam Records.

3. Death Row again not putting out Healter Skelter.

4. Ruthless Records fucking over Dr. Dre, costing them their head producer and hit maker.

5. Antra letting Kurupt go to Tha Row, as a rising label just got shut down.

Good one about Suge.  I remember Suge thought he had 2pac and didn't need anyone else. Yo, think about that, at one time, the Row used to have Dre, 2pac, Snoop, all on the same label making music together.  They were "untouchable."

I dont understand this one.  Bitch Please was a huge hit--it wasnt the first single, but what difference does it make?

1. Priority fuckin over Ras Kass

2. Death Row not releasing Nate Dogg's album when "Regulate" was hot

3. Death Row not releasing Lady of Rage's album when "Afro Puffs" was hot

4. LA Confidential/Elektra pushing back Knoc-Turn'al, even though he had an album ready and the video was topping countdowns

5. Suge Knight kicking Orlando Anderson in Vegas (if Suge never got involved, he wouldn't have gone to jail, which means Daz, Kurupt, Snoop, etc. would have stayed longer than they did)

about Dre/Cube "Helter Skelter" project.  I would have put that on my list, however the album was never completed.  Only like 4 or 5 tracks were done before Cube and Dre had enough with it.

1. Ice Cube getting fucked over in NWA, forcing him to leave the group
2. Technique (this guy should have a few albums out by now)
3. Death Row not releasing Helter Skelter, even as an EP (I would have paid a double CD price for that)
4. Tray Deee (yeah he's about to release a solo CD but didn't he have one done for Epic back in 96?)
5. Death Row splitting with Dre

Infinite, "Summertime..." was released as a single, Bomb Drop was the b-side.

peace,
tnp
