What's up with Fred Wreck beats ?
« on: August 02, 2002, 10:27:18 PM »
Lately i didn't like fred wreck beats; the new (?) fred wreck style is not so good like few years ago.
I mean...his beats for "Streetz iz a mutha" and "space boogie"
were really tight.
"Let's all roll" is another tight west fred wreck beat, but now his beats sounds are weak to me.
Is not more aggressive...
What do y'all think ?

I like it.

It's got that 70's funk/soulfull type feel to it.

Ok,but this seems the new trend.....i mean, dogghouse got a list of tight producers and everybody wanna do 70's funk/soulfull beats, its ok with meech wells cuz he's the number one on dogghouse for this kind of production, but fred wreck  would have to return to his original style.
Beats like "Space Boogie" and "Bring back that g shit" are awesome, let meech wells do the "70 funk thing" .

Dogghouse got already one tight producer oriented in the 70 funk style (meech wells),another new producer on the same stile (quazedelic) and others like hi-tek that brings funk on every track.Fred wreck must be hard with the beats!

izuwidit beat is tight and similar to his previous works on space boogie/tha streetz iz a mutha.
The beat for the song with bishop don juan is good,i prefer meech wells for the funk70s production.

I like his beats. Just take a close listen to "Gang Bang 4 Real" from the last Eastsidaz album...  ;)

Me too!But the "Gang bang for real" beat is the last one hard beat from fredwreck.
Lately he's too mellow behind the boards...

Yeah.
The funk-sound is too experimental for Wrizzle.

Im guessing Fred had a lot of people telling him he should stop being Dre Jr. and fine his own style and he took their advice...

What's wrong with being a Dre jr. anyway?

Dre is the #1 hip hop producer!

I like Fredwreck when he sounds like Dre!!!!!!!!!!!
