Say hello to my little videogame.

Vivendi Universal Games has announced it has reached a deal with Al Pacino to reprise his legendary role as drugged-out coke dealer Tony Montana in a videogame version of Brian De Palma's knockout 1983 gangster flick, Scarface.

The Oscar-winning thesp will lend his likeness to Scarface: The World Is Yours, which will feature an all-star roster of voice talent that includes original castmembers Steven Bauer (Manny Ray) and Robert Loggia (cartel head Frank Lopez) along with Jay Mohr, Cheech Marin, Robert Davi, Miguel Sandoval, Michael Rapaport and Michael York. (Notably MIA from the roster is Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Montana's ill-fated wife, Elvira.)

The Scarface game's storyline picks up where the movie left off, when the foulmouthed Cuban-born drug kingpin fights off a bloody assault on his mansion only to die in a hail of bullets.

In a what-if scenario, Montana miraculously recovers and embarks on a journey through the steamy, violent streets of Miami on a mission to rebuild his empire. Sure to give conservative family groups a fit, gamers in the guise of Pacino's ruthless character must negotiate drug deals and smuggle contraband, all while avoiding underworld rivals ("cocka-roaches!") and DEA agents.

"Al Pacino brought the character of Tony Montana to life onscreen in a very powerful way, and the inclusion of his likeness as Tony Montana is a critical component to the authenticity of the Scarface game experience," said Cindy Cook, chief strategy and marketing officer for VU Games.

No word on how much Pacino got paid for the Scarface deal, but it was obviously an offer the Oscar winner could not refuse. That's in contrast to Electronic Arts' upcoming Godfather game, which Pacino declined to participate in, even though it would have reunited him with former costars James Caan, Robert Duvall and the late Marlon Brando.

A surprising roster of A-listers has gone interactive in recent months. Aside from the talent lining up for the Scarface and Godfather games, Warner Bros. Interactive's upcoming Dirty Harry-based game will feature the voice and digital likeness of Clint Eastwood. The Academy Award-winning star, declared earlier this year that he's psyched about reprising perhaps his most famous role as vigilante detective Harry Callahan.

"This will be an opportunity to satisfy the many requests over the years to continue the Dirty Harry legacy, only now in the videogame medium," said the big-screen icon who'll lend his gravelly voice and likeness to the project. "Creating Dirty Harry videogames will also introduce this memorable film character to new generations on a medium they appreciate."

Make our day, indeed.

Meanwhile, Sean Connery will be back as James Bond in EA's upcoming 007 game, From Russia with Love. Like the Scarface and Godfather games, the new Bond is due out this fall on several platforms, including PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

No word yet when the Dirty Harry videogame will hit stores, but Warners says the game is being developed for the next-generation consoles, which won't likely be out until the end of the year.

Awesome.  Every one of those games has the potential to be good.  Hopefully they won't screw them up though...we all know how some video games based on movies are.
