Beats on UTEOT are better than the origionals!!!!!
« on: July 28, 2002, 01:09:27 PM »
Yo.... I have most of the various 2pac bootlegs, the origional tracks that 2pac recorded that were eventually remixed and later became Until the End of Time.

Everybody needs to stop trippin on those beats.  Until The End of Time was a great album.  And most of the songs I felt were great improvements on the origional.  The best example of this is the title track, it was a weak ass sample and the song was called "Crazy" before, and the version on Until The End of Time was tight as hell.

I also liked "Friends", and "Letter to my Unborn" is a big improvement on the OG version.

I'm also feeling the way Johnny J mixed "This Ain't Livin" that song is unfadeable, I've never heard the OG version though.

Anyway ya'll.... just wanted to say, UTEOT deserves more respect that the bootleg shit.

hmmmm. I guess.  It's kind of 50/50 wit me.  I have most of the OG songs too.  some of the OG songs are more laid back.  and have "Live" bass lines. and I love them type of beats.  But then agian, UTEOT has it's avantagez too.  I like both versions.

tha beat on tha new versions of friends not to mention takin pac off tha hook ruined a classic pac track.  tha uteot beat was no where near tha OG one.  when thugs cry,  same thing.  lil homies new beat completely changed tha feel of tha song.  an 2 my knowledge tha og version of letter 2 my unborn has never been leaked,  u could be thinkin of words to my 1st born tho.  Quik made a dope beat but i didnt think it fit pac.  a lot of them songs were to RnBish.  i liked tha new beat on all out more than tha OG but tha laws almost ruined a good track.  like on bomb first

I feel you on this one - The beats were better, but some of them wasn't up to par.

It's typical when you remix sumthin, people are always gonna love the original even if it was worse.

i will 100% tell u if u heard the real true og of uteot you would retract that not the one everyone has with the added drum beat and shit the clear cdq version is unrealhomie unreal and as for the other some good some bad but the og are raw the way pac flowed over them u cant take a song that was made to a different beat and add a new beat and expect it to flow perfect especially since pac is dead and cant redo his verses

what the fucc are u listenin 2 man!!!!!!!!!!
the remixed version of until the end of time is better than the original, your crazy man!!! that broken wings sample sux and if u listen close enough, u can tell it was put 2gether bad cuz it doesnt sound like hes flowin over the beat!!!!!!!
and your wrong again because the original LETTER 2 My Unborn was never released on bootlegs or nuthin, your prolly think about words 2 my first born.
here were the bootlegs tracks and which versions were better the album or bootleg-----
1. Friends- Bootleg is better
2. Let Em Have It- Album version
3. Good Life- Same Beat
4. Breathin- tough choice because the original version called confessions wit bizzy bone wasnt even a track those 2 did 2gether, it was put 2gehter by bizzy, but i like the bootleg verison
5. Happy Home- Album
6. All Out- Unreleased
7. Fuckin Wit the Wrong Nigga- SAME BEATS
8. Thug N U, Thug N Me- Both are good, no comparing
9. until the end of time- unreleased
10. y closet roaddogs-  unreleased
11. When THugs cry- unreleased, the album hook sux
12. why u turn on me- Unreleased, no fuckin censored version
13. U dont have 2 worry- unreleased
14. Words 2 my first born- even though i love the quik remix, i gotta go wit the mellower unreleased version
DONT GET ME WRONG THIS IS A DOPE album i just they wouldnt have fucked around wit the beatz

the "words to my unborn" beat by quik was nothing at all special...it was the exact same beat as "keep on, keepin on" off the sunset park soundtrack just faster, peace.

Overall, I was disappointed by UTEOT, but although some of that was to do with the beats, the main problem was the fact that too many rnb singers were put on there to sing hooks to songs that Pac had recorded amazing hooks to. Also taking Storm out of tracks and replacing her with the likes of SKG, Lil Mo and Left Eye was plain stupid and spoiled some great tracks.

On the single UTEOT, I am actually feeling the new beat more because it is very dark, but the song was ruined by the hook, which could have been left the same, or at least not sampled Broken Wings on it cause that did make the whole song sound a bit corny in the end.

Hopefully, the remixing, and guest appearances on the new album (if it ever gets released) will be handled much better than they were on UTEOT.

Some of the beats are better, and some they should have left original.  I just don't like the fact that they took out Pac's hooks and edited some verses.
BTW...how the hell is the unreleased version of "Until the end of time" better than the album version???   The orginal beat sounds silly and Pac just don't sound right flowing over it...
