Pac was the better songwriter, better storyteller, better overall artist, better everything. Except maybe as an actor and thats pretty close.

Cube never reached the level Pac did when he made 7 Day Theory. Pac wasnt human when he made that album, he was on a level that has yet to be reached by any other mc, and the scary thing is, he was only 25.....imagine if he lived on to make another album....shit would have shut the entire rap game down. Cube was great, definatly one of the top 10 all time but he aint fuckin with Pac, especially not the 96' era Pac who was in his prime.

First of all Ice Cube is nowhere as deep as Pac.  Listen to Pac's songs such as Hail Mary.  Look at the lyrics look at what he's talking about.  Its deeper then just stories about the hood its about Life, and man's eternal struggle with evil.

Oh, so now you're claiming Ice Cube is shallow? You may need to listen to Death Certificate one more time and pay attention to what Cube actually says, because he's just as much on point as 2Pac when it comes to social consciousness.

Y'all are mentioning a million reasons why Pac's life was more thugged out than Cube's, but what's that got to do with being a greater rapper? Cube never claimed to be a gangbanger or whatever - "I don't bang, I rock the good rhymes". The songs about gangbanging, such as "My Summer Vacation" are cinematic; he's putting himself in some character that he's never really claiming to be.

At the end of the day, I can't tell who should be the greater rapper. Just don't use "realness" as an argument, just because Pac was more gangsta than Cube. That may affect someone's street credibility somewhat, but does it really make you the better rapper?

For real man...those two artists are my top five favorites and they are the greatest. I can't believe how a comparision such as this turn it into a cube vs. pac as if it was big vs. pac battle.
