DJ Quik the Legend
« on: July 25, 2002, 03:19:10 PM »
Props to DJ QUIK, the only artist to switch up his style and still make banging hits.  From Way 2 Fonky to Unda the Influence they all have been either solid, great, or classic.  Not one bad album.  6 CDz and no dissapointments, well for me.  U can count on a nice and smooth song on every album from One on One (Under the Influence), to Thinkin bout U (Rhytmalism), Summer Breeze (Safe and Sound)  u can really count on his smooth and slow songs.  Need I say more about the amazing Quik'z groove? His first 3 albums were straight GANGSTA and Old School .  Then came a new sound from Quik on Rhytym-Al-Ism, which some think is his best album. His new sound was unique nothin sounded like that in '98. It was fresh, but still had a west coast feel.  2000 rolled allong and then came Balance and Options, solid album ANOTHER new style and was still fresh and still banging beats.  U can easily tell through all these albums how Quik has matured.  and just recently Under the Influence was here, and its also fresh to the WEst   but its still banging and the last beat after track 15 makes you think how musically talented DJ QUIK is.  DJ QUIK- MR ORIGINAL, MR WEST COAST, MR CONSISTENT. we should all give him big big big props. so PROPS TO THE QUIKSTER

yeah much props to mr quik but on the real. all west coast rappers that don't get respect in the mainstream and that are tight ex. E A Ski, DJ Quik, Kam, Ras Kass, E-40...they should just all hook up with a cd and just shit on the industry...i mean you hear them complaining about it by themselves but hook the muthafuckers up, get a cd out and start a riot.
